When I was in my teens with my Ill/Emp controller I could go no where without a team, I couldn't even do my own missions without help. I was effectivly, someones bitch for 30 lvl's :)
Now fast approaching 32 I've discovered the price that I paid for my pets. I had to be everyones bitch. If you can make it through all the blame of "why didn't you heal me?" and then you do nothing but heal "Why didn't you lock down those mobs better?" if you can struggle through the never being able to be alone on missions, and the semi-constant fear that you might aggro a mob on the street because there's no way you're gonna be able to take them down before you run out of end. Then you get rewarded with your pets.
The closer I get to Phantsasam the more I'm able to solo, my Phantom Army is a bit more efficient now, they hit when I need them too, and recharge pretty quick. I still ahn't solo without them, but with them I can take down some fairly scary mobs in Brickstown.
I've been told that the majority of AT's that were able to solo at lower lvl's will need help in the end. That once I become a one woman killing machine, the tanks I walys envied will be comming to me, not for heals, but for xp. That the trade off for being the go to girl on every team is that someday if I don't want to team at all, I don't have to.
Maybe that's why you don't see as many 32+ Controllers, maybe some of them couldn't take the crap. But I'm so close now I can taste it,and I'm not giving up. :)
