Superheroes do what we do for many reasons. I do it for the protection of the wonderful citizens of Paragon City. The citizens of Paragon City are the foundation of the city. They range from metalworkers to doctors to housewives. Not only are we protecting them, but we also provide support to the local police departments, who patrol the streets looking for crime.
We superheroes simply do not have the time to run the local bakery, make sure streetlights are working, or run the local daycare center. We, however, use these businesses and I feel that it is our responsibility to make sure the community feels safe. This has been difficult to achieve for the citizens of Paragon City recently, but I am trying my best to achieve that goal.
I try to take time from my busy day of saving engineers from the clockwork and devouring earth to spend some time chatting with the people of Paragon City. They sometimes share valuable information with me, pertaining to the "health" of the city or my status as a Superhero.
I have noticed that Ellen, Edward, Egan, Felicity, Frank, and Fanny always have watches on them. Even though Frank knows that it is dark at midnight, Ellen always knows when my bedtime is. This is important to differentiate. It is very useful to me for these citizens to have reliable watches, as my costume designer forgot to include one. Note to all of my admirers, you know who you are *wink*. I would love a light purple watch for the upcoming holidays.
*Ahem* Back to the guide. Some citizens are nosy and keep track of local goings on of other Superheroes. Sometimes I want to hear some gossip, so I'll seek out my friends Geoffrey, Genevieve, Gordon, Haley, Harlan, and Hector and find out the scoop on our local heroes. Gordon knows where they all are, apparently, because he's always telling me about how many he has seen that morning. Haley is much more likely to give me the real good gossip, like how cool another hero's costume is, so I have a chance to trank them down and check it out.
Now, the next citizens I'm going to tell you about are the ones near and dear to my heart. My fan club. Really! All Superheroes have fan clubs. This may surprise you, but it's true! I always wonder how they know so much information about me though. It's kind of creepy. Jane, Jim, and Josh know all about my great Fire Blast and Ring of Fire powers. Though if you want to know how much they have affected the villians I've brought to justice, you need to talk to Kelly, Keller, or Kevin.
And the fans who have been there since the beginning... Ned, Nealon, and Nettie have been keeping track of every time my name is in the newpaper, the local news, and on the lips of the public. Oswald, Olga, and Oliver must work for some city department because I am starting to think it is more of a job to them, because I only see them on a day to day basis.
My real stalkers, though, are Mike, Morris, and Mabel. They know exactly where I am every minute of every day. (Do not even try to sue me for slander! There are restraining orders on you people! Stay away from me!)
Each and every one of the citizens are near and dear to my heart. Well, hopefully, Mike, Morris, and Mabel aren't so near. I better get going. I am not exactly protecting the city if I am sitting here typing.
