Back at Coyote, Red scout sees him flipping through the pages of a binder with a concerned look on his face. With a quick glace Coyote notices Red Scout walking towards him and wave him over.
“Red, I have an urgent mission for you.” Coyote says as Red Scout stands before him. “One of my operatives have been missing for some time now and I’m afraid she’s in over her head in clearing out the Contaminated from the office building. Hand me your Map and I’ll put the address of the office building in it.”
Looking flustered as Coyote puts his hand out for Red Scout’s map, Red Scout mutters, “I don’t have one…”
Coyote snaps his hand around his back and quickly pulls out a metallic book like object. “This isn’t regulation, but this is important. This is a map given to every Hero in Paragon City it shows your location, the location of every contact you run into, and every major landmark in Paragon City. This one is mine so it’s honed in on my tracking device in my outfit, but it should be good enough to show you the way to the mission. Bring this back immediately upon completion of the mission.”
Taking the map and giving it a quick glance Red Scout heads in the direction the map gives.
Standing inside the doorway of the rundown office building, Red Scout sees a group of 4 Contaminated surrounding a Heroine trying to fight them off. Red Scout charges in as the Fire Sword bursts from his hand and slashes the nearest Contaminated to him. All 4 of the Contaminated turn their attention to Red Scout and begin to pummel him with baseball bats. Red Scout continues his fight slashing and scorching at the group. At the same time the Heroine stands off and starts firing off arrows. Within a few minutes the group is down on the ground.
“Who are you and what are you doing here?” questions the Heroine.
“I’m Red Scout and Coyote sent me in to help you.” Red Scout says continuing down the hallway searching for more Contaminated.
“Of course…” murmurs the Heroine. “Well, I’m Flower Knight and this is my first mission being apart of Coyote’s Special Operatives… I don’t think I’m doing so well if Coyote sent help.”
“So, what’s the mission Flower?”
“I was sent to clear out these Contaminated and find the reason why they are attacking this old building.”
Right as Red Scout was about to say another thing, a baseball bat smashes into his face causing him to stumble backwards and cup his face. Cheers and laughter erupt from the room the baseball bat came from. Red Scout shakes off the hit and rushes into the room both hands flaming, making Flower Knight quickly follow behind with her bow and arrow.
After a few minutes of grunts and moaning, Red Scout and Flower Knight clear the room out. Flower Knight walks up to a brand new and strangely out of place computer, she slips in a floppy disk into it and begins to download as much information she can onto the disk. Upon finishing the download, a strange little jingle rings out from the Map and both Heroes walk out of the mission.
Back at Coyote, Red Scout returns the Map to its rightful owner and bids farewell to Flower Knight. After a brief discussion between Coyote and Wild Flower, Coyote returns his attention back to Red Scout.
“Red, I greatly appreciate all your help. Keep working on you powers and you can be a very powerful Hero to protect Paragon.” Shaking Red Scout’s hand and continuing, “Now from here you can pick to either to go to Atlas Park or Galaxy City. Which will it be?”
“Well, since I already got an apartment in Atlas Park, I guess I’ll be sticking with it.” Red Scout replies.
“Very well, in front of Atlas Park’s City Hall you will find Miss Liberty, go talk to her to find out more about Paragon City.”
As he begins to walk towards the exit of the Outbreak Zone, Red Scout feels the effects of a long day almost over and treks home for some rest.
