The Psychic Clockwork King is a tough dude. He has an Alpha Strike that he uses on melee based characters. The best idea is to have a tanker to control him and the mobs around him. All the enemies in this zone use psychic attacks, which most tanks can't handle well. Bring a well balanced team, and he goes down pretty quickly. If on a small team set to heroic, he will likely only show as an Elite Boss.

As for where he is. He is all the way in the back of them mission, and very easy to spot.

Taking down Clockwork King  Psyke72 on 07/05/06 22:55

I took him down solo, as a lvl 41 Tank, but died 4 or 5 times in the process.

Superspeed is definitely an advantage, usually allowing you to run far, far away to recover. He can hit you with a psychic blast while retreating if you can still see him.

Take lots of greens, reds & blues. You can also pick off the clockwork littered around to pick up more INSPs. Rise of Phoenix will disorient him if you die right next to him, allow you to get in a few big hits, & heal. I recommend you heal first, as he can kill you with 3 or 4 hits. The first time I died, he hit me with 3 psychic blasts. The first did 800 damage, the other 2 did 400. They were in quick succession.

Also, while running away to heal, (if you need to run, that is), watch for clockwork that will lob shots at you while you run. So don't wait til you are 5 pts from death to run. He doesn't heal that quickly. I was able to get out of zone, go to contact for more INSPs, then get back with only minor healing on his part.

Good luck fellow heroes.
