Location: Talos Island
Contact: Amanda Loomis
Minimum Level: 22
Indoor: No
Difficulty: 1/5
Description:
Amanda will tell you, "The Warriors have been spreading rumors that they have some kind of new invincible fighting technique. I doubt that this new technique really exists, but the rumors are enough to worry a lot of people. I need a hero to hit the streets and defeat a few Warriors to show that this invincible technique isn't. They're supposed to be teaching this technique all over Talos Island, but defeating Warriors anywhere should still be a good demonstration."
This mission is not a part of Amanda's story arc. It is usually offered as an alternative to a story arc mission or when you already have two story arcs open with other contacts.

When you accept this mission, Amanda says, "The Warriors can be dangerous, (your toon), but they aren't invincible. I know you can take them."
Your nav bar now says, "Disprove Warrior invincibility. Defeat 20 Warriors."
You can hunt your Warriors anywhere in Paragon City to complete this mission, but you'll have a hard time finding enough warriors you can defeat for XP anywhere but Talos Island. I did hunt mine in the Hollows once, but only because I happened to need to finish my Weatherman badge at the time. If you want to finish the mission quickly and want XP, go to Talos Island.
Warriors of various levels are spread all over Talos Island itself and can also be found on the bridge to the west. Sometimes, you can even find a few in Helen Point. They are much more common in New Thebes and New Troy, though. The lowest level ones are in New Thebes. The highest level Warriors will be in New Sparta, but you'll usually just find one, being beaten up by the Tsoo. You probably won't find any at all on any of the other islands.
After you have defeated your 20 Warriors, return to Amanda and she will tell you, "Good job, (your toon). You showed that the Warriors' invincible technique was nothing more than a delusional fiction. The rumors have died down, and people can breathe easy again." |
