After you accept the mission, Tom says:
| QUOTE | | Bring that officer back safe and sound, (your toon). |
Tom will send you to a sewer entrance in a random zone, often Boomtown or Perez Park, where Officer Hudson is being held by the Lost.
Expect most of the mobs in the mission to be the same level, with the same level patrols. The only exceptions should be groups one level higher blocking each descent.
Get down to the bottom and find your cop. If you pay attention to what some of the Lost are saying, you will learn that they consider him a traitor. Once you rescue him, he says, "All right! I'll tell you the whole sordid story!" His story is in your clue bag.
| QUOTE | | All right, I'll admit it. the Lost bribed me to look the other way about a raid they were planning on a local munitions factory. I took their money, but I tipped off a hero anyway. When they found out I'd double-crossed them, they came after me. |
Somewhere in the same room where you found the cop, there is also a named lieutenant. He should be average level for this mission, but he has the powers of an Eremite (boss). His name is Chief Genghis. You have to defeat him and everyone else in this room. The rest of the map you can ignore, if you wish.
When you are done, return to Tom and he will tell you:
| QUOTE | | So, Officer Hudson took a bribe from the Lost, then double-crossed them. No wonder they went after him! Only one thing troubles me; Hudson said that the Lost wanted him to overlook their raid on a munitions factory. All we've ever seen from the Lost is random violence and chaos. Could it be that there is actually a method to their madness? |
