Description:
Tom will say, "The Clockwork have overrun a recycling drive, trapping several student volunteers from Paragon city University in the building. Their (sic) probably just attracted to the scrap metal, but things could get nasty if they stay trapped in there much longer. Get over to the location I have marked for you and free those students from the Clockwork."
This mission is not part of Tom Bowden's story arc, but you have to complete it before he will offer his first story arc mission. You also have to be level 19 to start his story arc, so you have plenty of time to get around to doing this mission.

When you accept the mission, Tom says:
| QUOTE | Your only objective is to make sure that the students get out of there unharmed. The Clockwork are probably just looking for scrap metal, but that might not protect those students if the Clockwork start to think of them as threats to their scavenging.

This is a simple enough mission. There are 4 hostages to rescue. The mobs are mostly the same level. Some are one level higher in the middle of the map, but never near the hostages. The mission is complete as soon as you rescue the last hostage.
When you are done, he says:
| QUOTE | Apparently, those PCU students felt pretty inspired by the rescue, (your toon). I checked in with them and their families, and it looks like they've decided to continue helping the recycling drive, even after all that happened.
