Accept this mission and Everett will say:
| QUOTE | | Good luck, (your toon). I don't think I have to tell you how important this mission is. |
This mission takes on a sewer map in a random zone. I marked Boomtown as the mission zone only because that's the highest level zone I've ever seen this mission in. It seems to be placed in King's Row about half the time. It also shows up in other city zones and in Perez Park from time to time.
The mission itself is rather simple; you just have to wipe out all the Clocks in the sewer. Your nav bar says you also have to rescue the prisoner, but you'll get that done just by wiping out the Clocks. You don't have to escort him out or anything.
As you enter the mission, there will usually be low level Clocks in the first group. Don't let that fool you into thinking your mission is too easy. I've done this one on heroic and found every color from green to orange in there, mixed all through the map.
The last room has a named boss. You will also find the prisoner, Lou the Mechanic. When you kill the Clocks guarding Lou, you get this clue:
| QUOTE | Conversation with Lou
When you rescued him, Lou said:
'You! You must have gotten all the clues I left. Oh, thank heavens! They forced me to help them with their insane designs. None of those designs should have worked at all, but somehow they did.
'I'm grateful for my freedom, but the Clockwork still have my wife and daughter! They are holding them hostage; I don't know where. Please save Eunice and Caroline for me! Please!' |
Now finish clearing the sewer. You can finish the mission without finding all the Gears from the bosses, but everything else has to go.
When you are done, call Everett and he will tell you:
| QUOTE | I never doubted you'd rescue that mechanic from the Clockwork. I still can't believe his family's been kidnapped too. It's just so horrible! How could any sane person do such a thing?
So Lou was being forced to help the Clockwork King, even though he couldn't understand the engineering behind any of the King's designs? Strange. Where is the logic behind this crime? |
Your story arc clue is also updated at this time. |
