Story Arc: I Lost my Daddy!
Description:
Penelope says, "Now that we know where Dad is, the only thing left is to get him. This may be kinda rough, though. You will be careful, right? Or get, like a super-team or something?"
This is the third and final mission of Penelope's story arc, "I Lost my Daddy."
This is also the mission for the Rescuer badge.

Accept this mission, and Penelope says:
| QUOTE | I think it's going to be pretty tough in there. Just, like, be careful, okay? I wouldn't want to be all sad because I got Dad back but you got killed and stuff.
Oh, hey! That's an idea! Give me a second...
Okay, I asked the Clockwork King really nicely, and he's agreed to let you borrow some of the soldiers he has protecting me. It's really big step for him. I mean, he's kinda paranoid, sure, but deep down I think he's an okay guy. |
Penelope also gives you a fistfull of Clockwork parts, which are a temp power:
| QUOTE | Clockwork Connection
Summon Gears
Penelope's strange connection to the Clockwork is enough for them to help you, but only to help her. Call on them, and these Clockwork will come to your aid up to three times. |
Don't summon your Gears until you need them. They last a long time if they don't get killed, but they follow very slowly.
Unlike most temp powers of this kind, you get to keep Clockwork Connection even after you turn in your mission.
Now you have to find Mr. Yin and get him out of the werehouse where the Lost are holding him prisoner. He's in no danger, though. This is a trap and Mr. Yin is the bait.
Mr. Yin is in the back of the mission, guarded by just a few Lost. Between you and him are named Lost lieutenants and bosses from all over Paragon City. They have names like Ant of Atlas, Slag of Skyway and Gruesome of Galaxy. Don't expect any wimps, either; the Lost are your level or higher the whole way through. It's a good idea to clear a path through them before you rescue Mr. Yin, because you have to lead him to the exit. There are also three ambushes along the way.
You get your mission reward, including the Rescuer badge, as soon as Mr. Yin is safely shown to the door.
Return to Penelope Yin and she will tell you this:
| QUOTE | YOU DID IT!
YoudiditYoudiditYouydidit!
Dad's home and safe and everything! You saved him, (your toon)! He's already getting the shop open, can you believe it? Oh, that's right, he wanted me to tell you that you can go in any time you want. But that's not important. Dad's home and he's safe, and it's all because of you.
Thank you, (your toon). Thank you. |
You also get your contact XP bonus and access to Yin's Market. Weapons are in the back. Mr. Yin doesn't have a lot of enhancements for sale, but they are all single origin enhancements. There's one kind for each origin, and each is available in levels 13, 17 and 21. These can't be sold to other stores, but you can sell them back to Mr. Yin. |
