Description:
Ginger will say, "The Devouring Earth have been steadily growing into an incridible threat, [your toon], and they're getting more dangerous every day. It's vital to the safety of the city that heroes constantly fight back against the menace of the Devouring Earth. I'd like you to concentrate your efforts against the Devouring Earth for a while, battling them wherever they appear."
This is not a part of Ginger's story arc. It is usually offered as an alternative to a story arc mission.

When you accept this mission, Ginger says:
| QUOTE | | The Devouring Earth can be found in many parts of the City, [your toon], but you might want to concentrate your battle against them to Eden and Crey's Folly. Few other heroes can survive in those perilous areas, so heroes of your power level are always needed to battle the Devouring Earth there. |
There is no need to go where she suggests. The ones standing right behind her will do just fine for most heroes. Go to Crey's Folly if you need them lower level. You can find them even lower in Independence Port, on Power Island, around the outside of Terra Volta. Go to Eden or Peregrene Island if you need higher level Devouring Earth. I just destroy the ones behind Ginger, then clear the park; nothing else spawns in this area. You need to defeat 40, but they don't despawn as in most other hunt missions.
When you are done, Ginger tells you:
