Story Arc: The Tsoo coup
Description:
Hinkley will tell you, "One of my sources called me with some disturbing news. It seems the Tsoo have amassed quite an impressive array of artifacts lately; it's the type of stuff the Outcasts and Warriors go crazy over. Can you go search this Tsoo base for the artifacts? Thanks, [your toon]. I hear the leader of the base is called Copperhead. See if you can find out what he's plotting.[/quote]
This is the third mission of Hinkley's story arc, The Tsoo Coup.

After you accept, Hinkley says this:
| QUOTE | | Warren hasn't yet been able to ID the buildings in those blueprints you found on the Tsoo. The minute I learn something, I'll let you know. |
The mission door is in a random zone, but it will usually be a zone which normally has Tsoo - Talos Island, Independence Port or Steel Canyon. I have yet to see this mission in any but these three zones. The warehouse map itself is chosen randomly from a list of at least half a dozen versions, including a couple of maps which should be very familiar by now. There are usually low level Tsoo near the entrance, but they get tougher as you move further into the warehouse.
Once you enter the mission, you have two objectives - defeat Copperhead and search for clues.
Defeating Copperhead means that you must find and defeat him and his immediate group. You don't have to completely clear his room this time. Copperhead is just a named boss, not an Archvillain. If you are set on heroic and have a small team, he gets demoted to Lieutennant.
Searching for clues means that you have to find a glowie. It looks like a desk and is usually somewhere near Copperhead. The clue is a document you will find in the desk. It will explain what the Tsoo are doing here (as a clue in your clue bag).
Copperhead can also spawn randomly, so if your difficulty setting is high enough to spawn lots of named bosses, you may find more than one Copperhead in the warehouse. Only the "official" Copperhead counts.
The rest of the map is optional. Clear the warehouse if you want to, but all you really need is Copperhead's group and the glowie. However, with large teams, some versions of this map can get very crowded. If you like to run large teams on invincible in a mission packed wall to wall with bad guys, this mission is a good choice. This is also a good mission for farming a Tracer badge, as Sorcerers are plentiful and you can completely clear the map; just don't touch the glowie and you'll be able to reset the mission.
When you talk to Hinkley again, he says this:
| QUOTE | | So there were no artifacts at that Tsoo base at all, just a trap for the Warriors? Sorry I got you mixed up in this, but I think that your presence prevented the Tsoo from gaining further ground. According to these documents you found, the Tsoo are trying to take down both the Warriors and the Family! [your toon], we could be looking at a major showdown. |
