| My first little Sun review for u! |

For all of u guys, who had not yet the chance to play sun:
First impression was that the presentation of the game is done very professional. Very nice intro and well done login screen.
Characters screen is also well done. At this point u get remembered on the rest of the Korean games. Very few customization options: Hairstyle, Face and Height. That’s it…. And just four classes. But I have to say these ones all look fantastic!
You start in one of the two cities that are instanced. (you can teleport from one to the other). The city style is ok for me, nothing special. NPC´s call you in Korean (sounds pretty fun), the view to the distant rocks is good and the background music is typical asian style.
The city is the games central place. From here you start questing, buy/sell equipment. (NPC or private shops) upgrade your equipment, participate in events or just meet people.
When you know the game mechanics of Guild Wars you know a lot about Sun. Everything is instanced!
You can go outside the city and hunt monsters for your own or in party (also instanced) or you can go to a special quest npc in town to participate in the games story driven quests or enter pvp rooms.
Classes: Every class has its own style with the possibility to give your own playstyle. Each class can choose between two weapons. One faster weapon and one heavier. Or you can make some kind of hybrid character between these 2 styles. You have active and passive skills and everytime you level up you have the possibility to share the achieved skill points into your charakterstats or in the classspecific style direction u choose. (e.g. for the dragon knight it is dragon style or combat style)
Gameplay: Very fast. Action packed! Just as promised. Nicely done styles. Good animations. But…when you are inside a quest room with ten mates (party maximum) it gets soon a little chaotic. Many times you don’t see your own character. Many times you just see a bunch of pixels. Turn your speakers down because it gets very loud. Sometimes I just don’t know if i might like the adrenalin pumping action or if I should think: damn chaotic. It’s a matter of taste. But I think I like it . It’s a much faster gameplay than the other mmorpgs, with click and wait style. Hp and mana recovery is fast, so you can use your special styles very often. Very small downtime for soloplay…
Graphics: Very good! But every second char looks the same. I hope they spend the game some more options in the future. Equipment looks very shiny and detailed. Monsters also look very good!
Motivation: I think motivation can be good. Solid quest system. Actionpacked combat. And the fact that you have fun very fast, thanks to battlezone system, makes the game very interesting.
People who like a wide open world without instancing might have their problems with sun.
I have not checked out pvp yet! But I think when the pvp part turns out as the rest of the game, this game will be my next asian mmo!
Conclusion: When you like Guild Wars and love asian style games, Sun is your game!

You say instanced, do you mean when you're out there hunting or whatever, you will never run into random encounters (other PC), but only the ones you went out with in party? Pity, it's the aspect I never liked in Guild Wars.

No, SUN has more playing style for choosing. the "Instance" is just one of them. You can play in the normal style if you don't open an "instance" map. And when you just feel like to play with someone or with your team ,you can open a "Room" to play. The choices are free.

How much skills is it based upon against mobs/other players?
Can you like spam healing pots and that sort of dumb stuff?

the game is real MMORPG. When you exit a city the game load but when you are outside you are whit everyone else. cool uh?

Huh...this SUn sound better than Guild Wars,isn'it?More action,more speed,great graphics & other stuff.
But what we do whit Koreean language,huh?

I definitely think it will be better than GW; especially with the high lvl cap and being able to have more than 8 people in an instance.
What you do about the Korean language is; wait for the US release!!!

What he is meaning most likely its your own lil city area till you complete the new player tutorial/area. When you play Lord of the Rings Online you start out in your own little instanced zone till you complete that tutorial. Then when you complete that you are instanced into a newbie zone from 1 to 6. Same concept.
