On the korean website, you can download the client but you need a korean social security number to register so it's not possible for us to play... The game seems free even though there is an item shop, is it like GunZ or RappelZ where it is free to play but you can purchase premium items with real cash ?

That is an interesting question, I thought this game had a monthly fee but then I saw the same thing when I found the korean website. I saw pictures of items but unable to read the info....but I figured most likely it was advertising items to purchase.
I would think a game that looks as beautiful as this one would cost. I have played Free online games and there are only a small handful that come to the looks of this game.

They do have the item mall in the asian territories since they like that kind of thing over there. For a Western release (if they even still intend to have one...) a subion business model would be more likely, but last they said "undecided".
And no new news in months.
