Heya folks. I have to report a problem with some disgruntled ex-SG members at PI.
In a nutshell, we caught a current member of Those Who Wield Power(TWWP) running with some tanks that were herding monsters into Portal Corp Plaza. We informed him that the behaviour was not acceptable by the SG, and he basically told us to f*** off. As you can guess......instant boot!
I'm not naming names, but I want to warn everyone that they have been continuing to herd monsters into the courtyard, and are announcing on broadcast that TWWP is behind it. I want to assure everyone that we do not condone such greifing, and have entered several petitions to the devs about the players that have been doing this.
If you were to park a toon in or around Portal Corp, it may be safer to leave them in one of the buildings for the time being until we can get the matter handled. I want to appologize for any debt this may have caused anyone already.
These players will obviously be looking for new SG's on this server to run with. If any SG leaders are interested in names or globals of the offending players, please send me a tell on this forum, and I can supply you with 2 out of the 3 problem children we have caught. I'll be trying to get the third global name next time we catch them.

That is just sad, seriously, dont people have anything better to do? By the way, what server is this on?
Out of curiosity, what would the petitions accomplish? can they get banned for that kind of thing?

Yep, they can definitely get into trouble for that. I thought the Devs installed police drones around the courtyard to prevent this kind of thing.

hehe....yes Liberty. That's why I put this in the Liberty server section. It's early....the coffee hasn't kicked in for me yet either. lol >^__^<
Herding monsters to Portal Corp is a bannable offense. Although not all who do it get banned. It is considered greifing. The Police drones will probably protect you if you were standing relatively close to them, but it appears that it's pretty easy to draw them to the center of the courtyard.
The problem is that many players leave their toons AFK right in the center. Get a drink, going BIO, etc....... It only takes one foot stomp to kill most squishy types. Last night when we dealt with this, I saw at a minimum 20 players that were dead around them. I watched most die, and not even attempt to run away, which means they were unsuspecting victims of this activity.
We have been getting our 50's out to try to get rid of the monsters when we see this activity. I just want to make it clear that we are not behind it. I've been parking my toons inside of a Portal Corp building when I go AFK in this area for some time now because of other monster herds I have seen.

Hmmm.. that makes a lot of sense! The other day, some irrataing bad guy was swiping at me while I was buying enhancements for Brim now that he's reached the oh so uber level of 42.
It was no big deal, I one shoted the baddie with my Seismic Smash that has ALL damage enhancements on it (I really like focused accuracy) and casually went back to uberfying.
Maybe if I get bored, I'll join your happy gang of AFK protectors and protect Those Who Get Soda with the Those Who Wield Power SG. :-)
