Great info, Anachron! I just made a mastermind today, this will help a great deal. Actually, you mentioned that you don't know why you would want a pet to NOT attack. Well...in the case of Merc's, your 3rd "default" pet is a Medic, so you might want to just have your first two pets attacking while the Medic sits back and heals.

Secondly, could you combine the Macro with the $$ thing to make it so two pets become agressive with 1 click and the 3rd one sticks in the background? Something like this, perhaps...

My MM's name is Ruby Widow, I will have 3 pets, Widowmaker, Widowtaker and Widowbreaker. Widowbreaker will be my medic. Would this work: [petcom_name "Widowmaker" agressive$$petcom_name "Widowtaker" agressive$$petcom_name "Widowbreaker" defensive]

Could someone who's really good at binds take a gander at that if Anachron doesn't know?

In the manual it says you cannot have one macro trigger another macro, you can however create the macro then have a bind trigger it, I will experiment with my bots what you suggested unless someone beats me to it and see if I can get a similar reaction, I will have my repair bot stay back and repair and let my attack drones attack target, then i'll post the results here by editing this post.

I also thought of another instance to have them go off on their own, they are good aggro so if your in a battle and accidently aggro 2 groups you can send half your pets to one group and half to the other to hold aggro and defend, now that I think of it there are numerous reasons to break up the team and send them on seperate missions, ty for pointing it out :) I feel silly for not realising it.

Update... 'it worked... very nice dood. :)

I had to update my original post you will need to add the "attack" command to the "aggressive" command to get them to attack a target, otherwise they will only attack if they are attacked first, my bad... so I added it to your command line and it worked perfectly.

Ok I created a macro.. [/macro SPC command] for "Special" command.

I did almost exactly what you said but changed "defensive" to "follow agressive" I made my other 3 bots attack while my repair bot stayed by my side and just watched with the click of one macro button.

This is the command you made with the added "attack" command that I mistakenly left out.

[petcom_name "widowmaker" attack aggressive$$petcom_name "widowtaker" attack aggressive$$petcom_name "widowbreaker" defensive] you might want to add "follow" to "defensive" for widowbreaker ie [petcom_name "widowbreaker" follow aggressive] to help keep it next to you if the "defensive" command by itself does not suffice or is not valid, I don't think "defensive" is a valid command.

Keep in mind at level 18 you will have 4 Pet's, so you will need to modify the macro accordingly, and you get some more pet's at later levels so will have to continue to update the macro or create new ones.

There is one thing I was reading in the manual that we need to keep in mind, it warns that creating macros so that you don't need to control your toon is illeagle and can get your account suspended, I didn't have time to read on all the info regarding this subject, but will most certainly do so once I get the chance.

Actually, what we're talking about here is just fine. What they're talking about in the book is making a "bot" which would basically camp an area and kill mobs that spawn in that area automatically, so that you could conceivably walk away from the computer for a couple hours, come back and have gained a level or 2.
This just makes the pet control easier.

Kool... I just wanted to make sure, I started thinking the reason I couldnt find info on it originally was because they didnt want us to do it, my conspiracy theory only... thank you for clarifying, now if only I can get rid of the notion that they use ultra high frequency sound waves projected from televisions to make us want to buy stuff... small steps I guess...

Let me know how it works out, i'm still experimenting with different commands to see just what I can get them to do.

I will attempt to compile a list of commands to get them to do non default things, "A Macro management of Pet's" post... what thinks you?

You should do that, and compile it as a guide. Submit it to the cityofvillains.gameamp.com site for credit. I'm not sure if this forum is going to go away, we don't have any current plans for that, but it could. Better to put it together as a Guide.

Excelent I shall start on it immediately though im not quite certain how to set it up.

Oh one thing I don't know is if "defense" is a valid command so "follow agresive" makes more sense and is basically the same thing, it wont attack unless attacked so it will be defending you.
