OK, I'm getting into my Villains now. Being evil has is rewards, unfortunately Infamy is not one of them!
I know we can't compare apples to oranges, but the game is built on the same platform. When I used to be new to Heroes, I learned quickly that saving mugging victims was an easy way to boost my influence gain for my enhancements. It seems that COV has no additional side game like that going.
I already know:
"Sell your enhancements as soon as the tray fills"
"Don't buy ANYTHING! Save every dime up for level 22 and your SO's"
What I'd like to know is:
Are there any missions or activities that offer up the best Infamy?
You would think a Bank Heist would offer up a nice big chunk-o-change, but nada! I am robbing a bank after all. Sheesh!
I can be really really frugal when I need to, but it just seems that the potential for gaining Infamy is way outbalanced by the cost of enhancements. Even with the resources I have at my disposal on COH, I usually don't need this much help from my teammates.
Any advise would be great. Momma always said crime didn't pay....... Lord help me if she was right about that too! :P

Hey Thundar, Crime does pay, just not very well in CoV. I did a Marathon run to lvl 40 with my robot/poison MM finishing up Cristmas eve broke with about 2/3'rds of my SO's. It took about another week of play to get my SO's up to date, & since then I have been working up my infamy for my next round of SO's, (45's), which I roughly estimate will cost about 8 mil. At this point I am beginning to feel comfortable with the amount I have worked up playing a few hours whenever I get bored playing CoH, but I swear I am makeing less than I was back in Jan.
I have been running mish's solo with my reputation turned all the way up, but I remember my mish bonus was hitting around 18,000 a few weeks ago, but now seems to be hitting around 10,000. Could be something that just happens when you reach lvl 40, but it's kind of depressing. It does however tend to make you feel "evil".
The best moneymakers I remember were large teams. I would join one on occasion & the infamy usually took a NOTICEABLE turn for the better. Unfortunatly I had some pretty extreme lag issues whenever teaming, large teams would cause my video to look more like a slide show during combat & there was one fire/buff, (the one with the little rocks orbiting around you), that would actually freeze my keyboard up. No matter how much I would beg people who threw that buff not to use it on me they would "forget" & I would be frozen in place for 2 - 3 minutes watching those stupid little rocks, or mercifully just sit back & watch 1/2 dozen baddies converge on me & beat me to death while I was helplessly frozen in place......but hey! I WAS buffed.... Needless to say the amount of debt I accrued made teaming a very leary prospect at best so I pretty much gutted it out soloing. I am hopeing for a good tax return this year so I can increase my RAM to 1 Gig.
Bank Robbing just plain sucked, there was no difference between the take on a Bank & a regular mish, and until I got my assault bot I died a lot in those bank mish's.
At any rate, the best advice I can pass on is turn off your Villian Group mode after you reach lvl 25, I made the mistake of continueing until lvl 33 & did not realize how horrible the infamy/prestige exchange rate was. When I caught on & turned off VG mode my Infamy nearly tripled per kill.
It would be neat if they upped the bonus for the bank mish's. I have yet to see if there have been any costume contests held in CoV like there were in CoH, that was a good way to get a "grubstake", but most villians I have met were too poor to offer anything like that. The lack of awards for saveing victims like in CoH does make a difference, they need to come up with something comparable for the villians, maybe allow us to mug the NPC's.
At any rate I will continue to play BunnyRat & accrue as much infamy as I can. I was going to make a Brute as soon as I hit cap with her, but the infamy thing has made me think twice. It won't be so bad when she can take on the role of "Sugarmomma" to any of my subsequent toons. Now I will have to ponder the problem of where in a city of heartless villians can I find someone I can trust to transfer a wad of infamy without getting ripped.......;P

Is it me though, or do more glowies seem to give pretty good inf rewards? I know I've been surprised in some missions by some of them (in some cases, half the mission bonus).
Curious too - does anyone know if the frequency of enhancement drops is the same in CoV as it is in CoH? If it's a little higher, that might compensate some.
But otherwise you're right...I make my living in the teens saving folks in Steel Canyon, which can lead to some nice inf. But not so in CoV.
