First, welcome
Second, easiest thing ever, Click on Super at the top edge of the chat window - this opens the super group menu; then click Enter Super Group Mode in the upper right, thats it!!
When in super group mode you will make XP, influence, and prestige all up through lvl 35 then only XP and prestige, if you want influence above 35 - drop out of super group mode with the same button.
Also, click Settings to select how your colors and SG symbol are shown when in SG mode.
Hope that helps - Del

Simply kill random things (up to 2 levels under you) in SG mode youll get some number in the double digits worth of prestige. I recomend making everyone in the SG run in the SG colors manditory in times you need alot in a little bit of time.
If its a small 2 to 7 person SG...give up trying to build a base. It takes forever to get enough prestige to make 1 room with only 2 to 7 people. Apparently the prices of rooms and rez machines was a sick joke by the devs. Oh and the more rooms and such you have in your base the more rent you have to pay. This brings up the question: Why do Paragon's heroes have to pay rent when they are the only thing defending them against wave after wave of computer controlled villians?
oh and welcome to the site

Klaw sounds a little bitter :)
Yes- prices are crazy. It's just to drive you to fight harder.

I had started a little chart on prestige gathered as well when the base feature was activated.
| QUOTE | OK, I documented some numbers last night. Keep in mind this is solo numbers, they spread the Prestige out like they do with infulence when on a team. I'm testing this on a level 46 Troller. (Started at level 46...)
Prestige reward:
Even lvl Minion.. 9-10 Even lvl Leut..... 35 Even lvl Boss....125
+1 Minion..11-12 +1 Leut.....42 +1 Boss....150
+2 Minion.. 13-14 +2 Leut..... 49 +2 Boss.... 175
+3 Minion.. 15-17 +3 Leut..... 58 +3 Boss....207
+4 Minion.. 18-19 +4 Leut..... 66 +4 Boss....
Mission bonus 275 or 385 for current contacts. As you run out old story arcs and such, you may get less of a bonus. I didn't bother documenting any of the prestige gained for below your level missions or mobs, but it's pretty easy to see the pattern and just guess at what you are going to get. These are of course solo numbers, so if you are on a team that is not fully loaded with SG members, they will detract from it a little, but the increased mob sizes usually offset that fact. |
I also found that mission bonusses in the PVP areas are higher. Some of our SG members run their 50's there to get the big bonusses. I believe that it's in the 400 something range. I haven't checked out the rewards for mobs in the PVP zones to see if they are different, but if you want to make prestige fast, the PVP zone missions seem to be the place to go.
TF's are pretty good too because it's mission after mission with very little down time to talk to contacts.

Here's the littlest info I can give because I usually run my 50 out of SG mode. An even level Fake Nemesis gives you 275 Prestige, and a Giant Monster in The Hive gave out 300+ Prestige... but the biggest kicker of them all is that even level minions only give 10 Prestige. What kind of BS is that?
Warning, my stories and blog is not meant for those who are easily offended. If you are one of them, then avoid the link, you wussies.

Even levels minions can still give good prestige if you take them out in numbers. It's just the scale as the devs made it. I've found another few facts about prestige gathering in my research as well.
DE eminators and swarms give very little.
Summoned things like from a Death Shaman give ZERO prestige.
COT portals give a nice chunk, but the demons that spawn from it offer no prestige, just as they offer no exp either. Take em down quick. They offer a little less than a mission bonus, sort of on the level of a boss.
Monsters and AV's don't offer much more than a mission bonus, so for the possibility of debt that goes with them, and the ammount of time it takes to bring them down, they pretty much aren't worth it if you are specifically a prestige farmer for your SG.
If you have a 50 and are trying to farm for prestige, get to a PVP zone. You really aren't effectively gathering it on even level mobs unless you are finding a lot of bosses. In the PVP zones you get auto-exemped down to the zones maximum level. This will offer you a lot of yellow, orange and red targets to hunt. Same for the missions. If you feel uncomfortable street hunting in Warburg(and you should feel at least a little paranoid doing this without a full team to back you up) then get the missions that the contact there will give you. On top of getting the +2 and 3's if you difficulty is set up, you get higher mission bonusses than in the standard zones. The contact should never run out here, but the missions will get repedative and boring if you do it too long.
I find that Yellows and Oranges are my favorite prestige gatherers for the same reason they were my favorite exp targets. I can take them down with a reliable speed and have less chance of debt in the process. Reds and purples offer good rewards, but the time it takes to take them down reduces the rate that you are gathering. There are several variables that could change that, it's a solo evaluation. If you start getting a good team running of all SG members, you can go after groups of reds and purples with much more effectiveness and speed, then you are really raking it in.
Not bragging(extreemly proud of my fellow SG mates conviction), but my SG has 2 fully functional bases. One may be raid ready in a few more months, but both have the med bay, and a full set of teporter pads. The main base has the enhancement dispenser and purchaser, but we're still working on the badges to get us more stuff available in it. We move most of our 50's to our LVL 50 SG so that they can gather influence to fund our 35+ SG mates that we want running in SG mode all of the time. Because we ask them to stay in SG mode and not gain influence, we support them with our mains.
Once you get a toon to 50, it's hard to keep it an effective prestige machine. PVP zones and a regular habit of exemping with your friends so you can still fight +2's and +3's is you best option. New toons can gather it much faster if you regularly team.
