So, why is it that on some forums I can hit reply, take 2 minutes to go get a cup of coffee, come back, and watch it load the forum itself?

We have a special control mechanism in our forum handler. Any reply submitted to it needs to be analyzed for its physical and meta-physical validity. Unfortunately due to a bug in the program it goes into a infinity loop when when it encounters singularities. Which means in case of your posts, it need to go to infity and back everytime. We are looking into a worm hole shortcut, but it might take a bit of time.

No, it's more like she copied and pasted my mind into hers. I still have control of mine. My pet black holes make sure that no mind controllers or dominators can enter it Muahaha. *runs away like a little schoolkid from all the doms that are going "oh yeah?"* lol

14-year olds shouldn't drink coffee, bubba. Pour that out and go get some Capri Sun or something.

Is that like saying that people over the age of 21 shouldn't drink liquor because ethanol damages your mind over time? :-p

No...It isn't the same. 14-year olds shouldn't drink coffee because it'll just make them even more antsy than they already are. :P The love of coffee for older folks normally stems from a need for caffeine. Of course, Starbucks has probably single-handedly lowered the average age of coffee drinkers on a national scale. I'd be interested to see if there's been a significant decrease in the mean age since Starbucks went global.

So, if coffee is so loaded with caffeine, why aren't there marches out there for kids to stop drinking soda? They're the ones that have some 50 grams of sugar! (BTW, I usually drink decaf anyway)
Another question: how on earth did post time help get turned into whether teens should drink coffee?

You should read the news more, bubba. It'll keep you in touch with the plight of the average public school student. A national agreement was recently made between the larger soda corporations (Pepsi, Coke, etc.) that will remove almost all sodas from public schools. The only products that they'll sell will be juices (with a specified sugar content) and water. Diet soda will still be available in high schools. I think they're estimating that this will be completed within the next 3-4 years.

Eh...An offhand comment can always send a thread barreling into another topic. :P

Not to pull you guys back on topic or anything *grin*
but the reason is sometimes the site runs slow... we get a lot of traffic on gameamp, and when a lot of people are on at the same time posting on the various forums, sometimes there is a bit of lag.
Ok now go back to talking about coffee!
And by the by if you drink coffee b/f your body has finished growing it can stunt your growth...

Well, good thing I'll be out of school by then. I just can't live without my sugar water! ; )
Back on topic, I have noticed a little bit of slowness, but that could very well be from my end o' the network.
