It's good to see that they have found the problem and are taking care of it. I can only imagine how much more work would have to be done if it did break the game.
A lot of people give the Devs a hard time and complain about small petty things. I for one am glad they work as hard as they do, and try to keep things up and going.

Hear, hear.
It is quite an accomplsihment to keep all these servers up and running, and having to think of all the weird things players are trying out. And believe, they try out anything! I think COH is the most stable game I have ever played.

I really appreciated that they posted something. This takes the edge off it for me. Just that I know in advance there is something up and patches or problems with storage allows me to plan accordingly.
CuppaJo is now a default search for me on the NCSoft forum as he is usually up to date and right to the point.
Without this good flow of info I may have started a TaskForce counting on that storage then find it not avaiable then get the servers shutdown for a patch while in a TF etc etc. This causes alot of grief if you know what I mean.
I watch their board closely for this sort of thing and pass along anything I find interesting that another Amper hasn't already captured.

Just so you know, CuppaJo is actually a woman. I go to the main boards and look at only one place. If you go to the main forum on the site and click developer's corner, then click Dev Digest, this shows all the posts made by the red name's (Devs). I just look through there to find what is going on and what their responses are.

LOL well she is surprisingly rational for a woman LOL that should get me flamed ;-)
I agree that is part of the search too - but I filter by poster also as HER posts contain all the useful info and not all the flaming etc.

Suprisingly rational?!? If by that you mean predictably intelegent...
And try to think of it less as flame and more as pie in face.
Honestly though I gota believe that somebod(ies) figured out a way to clone stuff using the storage. It's common in WOW. I doubt they are actually referring to "put the game back on the shelf." The lengths people go to hack this stuff is amazing.
I too add my voice to the praise of the dev staff. They do a pretty darn good job.
Wish I could get home and on line to grab the stuff out of the storage though...

Only problem is this bug was reported to them during test, but of course fixing it would have caused them to miss 666 (06/06/06). So I'm not so impressed
