Note: I posted this in rant + rave so it would be unnecessary to move it there ;-)

After an infuriating run at Mother Mayhem last night I determined that I was paying money to generate frustration. This did not seem like a wise investment...so I wanted to be proactive about my cure. I used the shotgun method of diagnosing the proper method to solve this problem.
I began by logging off the offending server and camping out yoga style under Atlas on Justice Server while I ranted on gameamp.com, super group channels, and miscellaneous private tells.
I bugged Mother that her endurance bar was broken.
I petitioned for a mission complete for this mission based on Mother’s broken endurance bar. I added a Mother should not prevail on Father’s Day.
I sent a few assorted PMs to moderators on the NCSoft official forums questioning the legitimacy of the parentage of those responsible for the development of the game update I7. After all it’s Father’s Day and perhaps if I appealed to their Dads (if known) I could make some headway on the matter?
I deleted my Heroes in protest…ok only the ones I really didn’t like, but it was symbolic and made me feel better…
I crafted an email to customer service regarding my experience and my intentions to close my account permanently and to all NCSoft products. I refrained from specifically telling them that they may be exceeding the recommended number of persons on staff born of unwed parents and that this these no way count toward a minority sector or cultural diversity as they may think. I made a good case for receiving a refund of my original purchase price of the games CoH and CoV based on them choosing to break them.
I received but one reply thus far. It is a PM therefore I will not post the sender.
“The AV changes are largely being rolled back.”
In my own words as they were very wordy: “There was significant defense that the goals were to encourage (require) PvP zone usage to obtain a “SHIVAN” and/or encourage (require) more use of the RAD/RAD build that is underutilized.”

I just really hope they carry through with a rollback on this one item - it does substantially alter normal CoH PvE only players.

Y'know, I haven't played around with the AVs or monsters since I7 dropped (excluding the badass mofo's dominating RV), but the memory leaks are killing me. My entire computer crashed twice Saturday while zoning into missions. Last night, I joined up with Dyvel to run the Negotiator mission, and Dy got stuck in a 5+ minute zone-in. This type of lunacy is detrimental to me stomping faces, and it's disturbing the few hours of sleep that I get each night.
HELP US, DEVS!!! I WANT TO ENTER A FREAKING MISSION IN LESS TIME THAN IT TAKES TO CLEAR IT!!! *tear*

The whole crashing thing only really happened to me once. I guess I'm lucky that way, though there was one day where my internet connection was just crapping out on me constantly... but it couldn't be caused by CoH.
Can you use Shivans as Rads? Cause if that's true... Just get 15 heroes all with Shivans. Hmmm.

According to the full text of the reply one Shivan in an even level Team is sufficient to allow defeat of the AV as before I7 ...

so basically the bad idea of bumping up the AVs was an attempt to force everyone to either have a rad/rad on the team, or play in a PvP zone to get a shivan.
how nice of them.
if i had more time for playin, id stop b****ing and actually make a rad/rad. theyre not seen enough anymore :_(

Ok, I could live with that too, but the only thing I've known before 7 was 6 as I've only been playing about a month.

You are! Keep up the good work. I4 was great. we were MUCH more powerful then we are now. My Invul/SS tank couild solo AV's to a standstill (It's ridiculous that you need a full team to beat them now, and then only if you have a rad or Dark on your team.) Continuous Nerf's which supposedly were made to help game play for all archetypes is just ridiculous. I think it was really made to make each person take that much longer to get to 50, and make themn stay with the game a longer time. But there's also teh adverse affect to this, boredom. I think people are leaving this game so fast because they have gotten bored with it taking so long.

See? that's BS. I have NO INTEREST in PVP, yet there they are trying to FORCE us into playing PVP, to get the shivans. just like the ED nerf forced us into making all our toons the way the dev's wanted them made. Man does thsi stuff piss me off...

FYI guys Shivans are VERY easy to get, it takes about 10 minutes and you get 5. I have soloed this twice, and if you have stealth and a travel it is even faster. And don't worry too much about the dreaded PvP. In my experiance in these zones people will not just jump you and beat the crap out of you. I do agree that what they did to AV's and GM's is rediculus. They are now 11 times harder than pre i7 and after the roll backs they will still be 3 times harder than before.

funny thing is I respected my main BACK to pre-Ed when we got the free respec two weeks ago. Others I nefver really changed. I said the heck with the ED garbage. My main is back to 6 slots on his temp invul and Unyielding, as well as his knockout blow being 6 slotted (1 of those slots is a hami O with Acc/Dam, so I actually have a fill 6 slots of damage on him.) Not what it used to be , bt still worth 113% damage, and 66% Damage resistance.

One of the main reason I got it was for Phase Shift and they destroyed the purpose for that (I don't even have it on my tray any more). And now w/ stealth, it seems that when I cough I unstealth, and doesn't seem worth it. But... someday I'll sit down and type /respec...

funny thing is for phase shift I just go into warburg and do the patrol, and you get that temp phase shift power that stays on constantly, though who knows if they changed that recently? But that's how I was doing the "Defeat 40 Rikti in the abandoned sewers" mish. I'd go get the temp phase shift, which is good for an hour IIRC, and shift into the sewers, get my 40 and be done with it. Otherwise the normal phase shift is not worth having right now. You're right about that. I still use stealth on my toons that need it though.

ED=Enhancement Diversification. This was the change the devs made whereby it was no longer worthwhile to 6-slot your powers with any one type of enhancement. You pretty much max out the effectiveness at 3 SO's.

And was that in like 1 mission? :-) Seriously it's not that they made the AV missions so much more ridiculously harder, it's that now you NEED a rad or a dark to finish them. 8 man teams are no good without one of the afforementioned AT's on haqnd. it's absurd what you have to go through to bust an AV. I don't know who told these guys that making thinsg ridiculously hard , and making them take 4 times as long equals fun. To me it equals annoyance and boredom. The way things are now, it's no wonder at all that so few get beyond the early 30's.

I found out one Shivan isn't going to do crap against a GM... yesterday I tried to help a group of 15 Heroes trying to take down Kraken, I thought 'Hey, Shivan time!' and busted him out... NOTHING. N to the O to the THING! It was like sitting there punching a brick wall over and over again just to see if you could break it and was going no where faster then a toddler tumbling down a steep hill. I can't wait until that nerf for the regen comes out.
