Attention All Alliance members.
The Gameamp Alliance SG is now full. I ask that if you have an Alt in the SG that is not being used please step down so we can continue to add new members to the SG.
There will also be a change to the 45 day inactive limit. The new time frame will be edited into the Guidelines.

actually, members cant be booted from the SG unless that toon is online, so you'll have to log in with valentina and probably just quit the SG yourself.
i'm going to do this with Dark Big soon as well.
I won't dress up as Frosty the Snowman for a Christmas party...

I'd be more than happy to start a 2nd SG for Gameamp so that alts and more members can join. We could call it something like "the Gameamp Alliance: Team Beta" or "Silver Team" or whatever signifying that's its our 2nd group. We could coalition them together. I think it'd work out ok actually. Feedback on that idea?

i honestly didnt even know you were in the SG. i dont think it was lack of response, but there actually arent that many alts in the SG. i think i counted around 12 at one point. and maybe 2 or 3 of them were rerolls that never got taken out.

I like the idea of a second SG group like the first one. The problem will be to making sure that the toons are played enough to make it viable. I was in SG on Freedom that had 4 different sub groups and it finally collapsed. Some teams hadn't had people log in for 6 months or more as people played their favorite toons.
Can we support, game playing time wise, another SG? I know that I am focusing on Desert Wraith right now and will probably do so even though I have an alt on Triumph.

I really hate that anyone has to drop anything from the SG, but it is a good thing when new members are taking interest in what we do here and in game.
We are currently looking into a few options involving the Alts.
Bear with us as we work this out.....

I wouldn't know exactly as I haven't been in the SG but as far as I've heard and seen Bigspeer's screenshots they seem pretty active! :D

Yeah, I don't get the lack of team response thing either. Granted, there's not people begging you to be on teams, but 90% of the time when I ask, there's a team out there to be a part of. Some nights it's pretty empty till later in the evening though, say after 9PM eastern.

And I'm not going to be teaming any other nights apart from Fridays and Saturdays and sometime on sunday afternoons.
I just about got my sleep pattern back to normal UK time :o)
As for the second group, am all for that and do believe that 'Ampys Avengers' was the name of the Second place vote for a SG name.
I'll be shifting Flat Line over to that 'alts' group as soon as it's ready...
I'm up for it running alongside the GA, coalition chat to be used lots for teams!!
Im really pleased that you all took the group into your hearts the way you have and gotten on with playing the game together. Seemed really strange that about 5 weeks ago, some of you had never teamed before, just chatted on the boards. Now look at ya... One kick ass SG you should all be proud of.
I'll be around for a bit later and again sunday.

i will help out with the second sg (which is just an add on group bc of limits not in neway less worthy)details and all that fun stuff will be ironed out just like in the alliance.
we will have the basics started and let everyone know when the matters of voting are needed. Input is always welcome so pm me and let me know, or just post it

I will step down from the SG as i may not be playing much anymore anyway... Its a wonderful group, full of great people and i will miss them....Thanks for the chance to tag along.....time for me to move on..... luv ya Mags....

That'd sound good, or maybe we can make one specifically for alts and altoholics. Would we really play these alts alot though and how active would the SG be considering that it's entirely made of alts would be the question.

You can sucessfully run another SG alongside the first. My main on Guardian, Wrecking Crew, moved their 50's to another group, Wrecking Crew Gold to make room. With coalition the golders can use the teleport pads and everything else in the base. The only thing we really needed in the new group was a med bay for when you die. Other than that it all worked out well, and still does.

As to the "lack of Response" issue, Marine left because of it after getting to level 25. I rejoined with Livingston recently and got to level 11 1/2 and have yet to team with or even see anyone from SG. Did team with Razorgenius the other day with Marine SK'd, which was great. I understand where the feeling of soloing or playing only on PU Teams, while earning prestige for a SG you never see would come from. Been there twice now. If it wasn't for gameamp.com channel, I wouldn't even know anyone was around.

I'm in game quite a bit, but nor always with my SG toons. If I log on with them and can't find a good team, or tire of soloing, I switch to one of my alts. And i have plenty of them...LOL
I keep up with the conversations on the Gameamp.com global channel, so if any of you is in need of teaming, speak up on the global channel and I'll probably switch over.
I have noticed, and this happens, that some people are on during times that no one else is. I run into that a lot being on the West Coast. It seems that some evenings, I'm just logging in and everyone else is heading out for the night. It's one of the reasons I run so many alts.
One of the other SGs I'm in schedules SG play dates, where on that particular day, you get as many SG toons in-game as possible so they can run together. Would this be something we should try? Knowing that we're all in different timezones, we could set aside a block of time, which would be long enough that everyone could find an Amper or three to team with. Or we could have more than one time block (ie one for the East Coast folks, one for the Central/Mountain folks, one for the West Coasters). Just some ideas.

I think the global channel is under utilized. It is THE perfect tool to find a team. I am sure the majority of us here would prefer to team with fellow Ampers to PUG or solo. But I hardly hear anybody ask for a team, or invite others to team. I know there is always space in my team for an amper. Keeping a SG alive is hard, especially when almost every body plays alts. I didn't even join the SG since I knew it would be a dead toon. But I am *always* on the gameamp.com channel alive and kicking. Use the channel to find other Ampers. "We" are there and eager to team up.
And as I type this I know I haven't been online for two weeks now. I was moving, and now I am waiting for my ISP to sort me out. It will take at least 10 more days. So my advice is a bit tainted :)

is there information on how to apply to join this sg? Its awefully hard finding teams with members from your sg or coalition sg. I know that sounds ridiculous, why else be apart of an SG or Coalition with an SG right?!

Hi Selene, long time to see! How is life in the realm of the living death?
As for the Alliance SG, any GameAmp member is welcome to join. Just find an officer online and be invited. The easiest way to catch one online is by joining the gameamp.com channel. It is a public channel, so no invite needed for that.
And I think you should join the channel no matter what. It is not for SG and coalition SG members only. It is the chat and lft channel for all ampers on any server.

I had been away from game for awhile due to a move and now that I'm back so much has changed...Is it just me or are more players rude now then before?! And I find them to be rude and isolated or cliquey on coalition chat channels too. Much has changed from the beta days *tear* he he

i think the big problem is what phedre said, people putting alts in the SG but then those toons pretty much becoming dead. we have a solid core of toons in the 35-45 range that have been playing together since the SG started. there are a ton of toons under 25 in the alliance, but i havent seen many of them online in the past 2 months.
it would be great if we had toons in there at lower levels that played as constantly as we did when the SG started up. you couldnt go 20 feet without seeing an amper or 10 seconds without some SG channel chatter. i'm still debating whether to put another toon in the alliance after big hits 50, but since i started my lil alt SG i am torn.
