O.K. one day in CoH i was playing Mr.Philipines and decided to play a CC. But this one would have a twist. The twist was to choose worst costumes and give them gold to chnage there costumes (Don't flame me the people online already made me cry) When i broke it to the 7 finalists they called me an a**hole and a b***tard. They started spreading it around. So i give the prizes out. Then i go under the Atlas Statue and announce that I am very sorry to all people that were included in my sick twisted CC. So to appease them i delete my Favourite character that i made first and took me a year to get to 33. O.K. people are still being mean but maybe they'll come over like come on i killed my best character. My only other char is Claws a lvl 5.
Note i did put up an argument about how 500 other people did the same thing

personally i think you are caring about this far to much, ok i would be insulted if you tried to give me money cos you thought any of my costumes sucked that badly, but my costumes rule, they are all usually very simple plain but cool with it.
i cant believe you would delete you lvl 33 char that took a year to get there, i mean a year is a little long to get there but still i cant belive you would delete it.
scr*w them all and stop caring what other people think.

Worst costume while really funny and original, it is kinda messed but hell they shouldnt complain, it was free influence. Some people really need to learn to take a joke.
Now as for killing off your level 33...It sounds like a really really dumb move. I understand that you wanted to prove you were sorry but come on its not like they would be angry forever. Eventualy they would have gotten over it and went on with their lives. There would be no way i'd delete a character i invested a whole year in just to prove i point. When you think about it, now you have to deal with them more as you level up back to 33. Kinda hurts you more in the long run. Next time you are in a similar situation say what i say "This is what i do, too f*beep*ing bad if they dont like it."

you shouldnt have deleted him just because they made you feel bad for being tired of the same old thing and decided to change it up is your opinion...dont take things so personally if they dont like your idea its just a game that was there opinion just might want to warn them next time >_>

That bites that they gave you grief over all that for they participated in the contest with what I am assuming is fulll knowledge of it would be for the worst costumes. I can understand why you deleted your favorite toon; heck I left the whole Freedom server for various people's attitudes. Main thing to remember it is a game. So, have fun with whichever toon you play.

I think that's funny! I dunno, I'm assuming you left the worst costume info out till the end, right? I would have let everyone know that to begin with. It might have helped avoid some of the dissapointment. I would never ever ever have deleted one of my own characters over it though. I'd be tellin them all to go pack sand if they didn't agree with me that I thought they had a crappy costume. Your never gonna please everyone all the time, so you're bound to find someone that doesn't liek your costume. In addition, you passed out prizes. They should have been just happy to get a prize. Sounds to me like a bit of over reacting was done on both sides.

I think deleting your 33 was prolly not for the best, however I think your idea of worst costume CC was a darn good one, I see so many trying to have the best possible costumes that CCs for best dressed are always difficult and time consuming.
Now a loser in a CC for worst dressed should be happy, lol means they did ok, and the winner got free INF that they can go use to make a better (or worse) costume with... a win/win situation in my book.
I admire your idea for worst dressed CC, infact its such a good idea that i'm going to talk to the other leaders in my SG and see if we can throw a few on CHAMPION server (you will of course get full credit for the idea) lol the meyhem and confusion especially among the greenhorns will be worth more then a few laughs and certainly worth the influence.

I think that if you are going to hold a costume contest for the worst costume, you should announce it at the beginning of the contest. That way no one can claim to have hurt feelings because they know what they are getting into. I can understand people being upset if you didn't tell them until you picked your finalist. I know I probably wouldn't have taken it well (if i ever entered costume contests that is) to be told that I have a bad costume.
I do think that deleting your character was a bit much. I understand you being upset, but all that work you did is now gone, and that's got to make things even worse for you... you will always be thinking of your old character now. I think you should recreate him and get him built back up (but maybe play an alt some also).
I do think that they over reacted some. It isn't like they HAVE to take the influence and spend it on a new costume. They can always just keep it and save it for enhancements. You did give out the money, so they really can't complain to much. And them announcing it in broadcast was really taking it over the line. It just seems like a bad situation for everyone.

now they did participate in the cc so they wanted the influ but they get mad lol well i would let is go if you cant then just go to a new server

Did they know from the start that they were in a "worst costume" contest? If you had to "break the news to them" once you had finalists, I'd guess that they were under the assumption they were picked for their awesome costumes, not because you figured they were crappy.
As for deleting your favorite misspelled toon ... to delete it to appease an angry horde, probably not a good idea. Honestly, if I had been one of the angry mob, I would have just stuck you on my ignore list and made off with the free influence reward. I doubt they would have bothered you for very long. However, there is nothing to stop you from remaking a toon with the same powersets. When I7 hit, I deleted my first ever toon (and my first level 50) and rerolled her as a villain. Why? because she was always intended to be a villainous person from the start ... she's already nearly 31. Do I regret deleting my favorite lvl 50? hellz no ... I've had a blast playing her again. I've also recreated another toon with my 50's original powersets, and have been having a blast replaying that powerset. Double the fun for one deleted 50.
