| Slashes that come with apostrophes |

I was just reminded of this issue today when I clicked on Big's game history for his tank. It was somewhat annoying trying to read Big's story with the tons of slashes following the apostrophes. Does anyone know how this is happening or how to fix it?

Yeah, it is one of the nasty bugs. You can remove them. And when you save they won't be there. But as soon as you click on edit (even if you just update your characters level) they return. And an extra one is added with every edit. So the only way to keep it clear is to remove the backslashes everytime you edit your handle.

Phe is correct as to how this is happening. As for the fix, it will require me to give a poke to the "Powers that Be". Which I will do.

so did you enjoy the story?
i try and take them out every time i update the level, but dont remember a lot, or level as much anymore.
I won't dress up as Frosty the Snowman for a Christmas party...

Yup, it's a bug in the code dealing with how special characters are handled. I'm still a newb as far as programming goes, but I know in C you have to use what's called an escape sequence within your text string in order for the compiler to realize that special character is supposed to be text and not part of the code.

Woooo Hoooo!!! It was a short wait! The problem has been fixed. The only thing, is now you have to remove those slashes. But I was told they won't be coming back after you do so.
If they do, Please let me know, so I can give them a poke again.
