Hello fellow ampers. Recent developments have braught a certain thought into mind. Whild playing today Ron told us a story about an amper that was lost during Hurricane Katrina. This saddend me because i to have lost a loved one to Katrina and when body's are not found and missin hearts are heart. I vote the we as Ampers create a Hall Of Fame Amp link for lost and left ampers. or something for remebrence of friends. I know it will be hard to do but as we say we are family and family should be remebered. As the first inductee i vote for D.Damise (if i said it wrong i apologize) He was lost to Katrina. FOr the Hall of Fame i vote him to the first.
My thoughts and prayes go out to those that have lost love ones in whatever matter.

Katrina may have just been evening news for me up there in Canada, but human suffering is not something to ignore...
I give my heart and my toughts to you, and everyone who suffered because of what happened, and those who may sufer still.
You are making a small but heartfelt gesture; mine may be smaller, but mountains are made with grains of sand.
So let me applaud your idea and add my own vote to yours.

Agreed. A lot of good people were hurt and killed as a result of this catastrophe. One of our most helpful ampers, DarthDemise was on such fellow. He'll always be remembered and missed. I know he had a lot of friends on and off the site that will miss him a great deal.

I know but what can we do about a Hall of Fame type situation for ampers that have left that spent a lot of time or people like him. If i knew who to build a web site i would build one just for them. We got some votes what do we have to do to actuall make this happen. Would it be in Jeni's dept.

I think it would depend on what exactly you are talking. Are you thinking just a page w/ links to something? Or just a list of names? What kind of lay out and how would it be decided that someone would go up there?
I'm going to move this thread to the Site Feedback section, so I can keep an eye on it easier.

It would be like a link that ampers can click on. On a certain day names should be nominated and voted on. Ampers that have left for good and made an impact or those lost to us. DD should be the first to be inducted every three months someone is inducted. On tha link we shoul post there profile so people can see toon pics and stuff and a place to put comments.

Sadly, it hasn't been a vacation that has kept me from posting as much as I would like, it has been a bit of cancer, and a bit of surgery. The surgery was really the thing, as it was to remove a portion of my upper right arm, and take some lymph nodes from under my right arm (they are all sadists I think). The good news is, this is all I need done, the bad is that I really took a lot out of me, and I had no idea that working would be so difficult (have only game 3 times since the 6th!). I am here though. Just not to vocal.

Let me brainstorm this just a bit, and discuss it w/ a few other people and see if it is possible. I'm not sure how big the list would be, but it is really nice gesture to honor those that ment so much to the commuinty.

Ok thank you for looking into this Jeni it means a lot. Because you know yeah people remember them but others should know about them and how much they did for the site. This doesn't have to be just COX but for the other games listed as well either joint or separate HOF its just something i think needs to be done. Like if a person that has been playing for like 30 months should have a chance depending on what they have done. I guess i'm looking for more of a mermorial then anything.
P.S. Come ampers lets all pitch in and cast a vote so if something can be done the "Powers to Be" can see that there is enough behind this idea. Just post YOu got my vote or something.

The loss of human life is a tragic and a loss of something that cannot be ignored. As a way of remembrance to them i believe we should put a link and then a list of names, there we can put all of their screenshots that they put and the Articles and Guides that they posted on all of the Gameamp sites, then we should some sort of digital plak showing all of the things that they did to Gameamp. That is truly the best thing that we could do for them.
Also we should put all of their known characters that they created and maybe a picture if possible, and if there is no picture availible we should just have the name and the server so that the people that did not know him/her personally may come to realize that they may have teamed up with them or may have been in the same supergroup as them.
They may be only small ways of remembering them but in the eyes of the family they are statues of remembrance.

i'd like to add on to what i wrote(2 posts above)i think we should just have the link for those that either have done signficant changes and ideas and have made gameamp better for and those that have passed on, maybe they should be two different links that way we wouldn't be confused if we're honoring the dead or honoring those that have given many ideas and things like that.
For the link for those that did many changes in gameamp i believe that there should be a feedback section, but for those that have departed i believe we should just keep it the site a site of remebrance, and maybe, just maybe, a sort of funeral post it where you could only post something about the person for a short time and then just leave it at that.
I'll let you know if i have any other ideas about this link.

Just wanted to give all of you the heads up that I hadn't forgotten about this. I'm discussing some things w/ some people (like how descriptive I can be? *grin*), and trying to get some ideas on lay out and who would be on there, and a few other things.
