Wow it is a shame there are never any posts regarding the Victory server. It is a great place to play. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Very seldom do I have any trouble getting an invite to a team with any of my levels. I have met some exceptional players and quite a few who are willing to take the the time to teach and mentor. this behavior fostered that attitude in me and others. I often take the time to mentor a new player, it builds a strong server. Come On Victory players lets here why you like it here!!!!!

I like Victory. I've been playing a bit there lately. My characters there are all very low, as I haven't had much time in the last month or so, but it's enjoyable. The people are really cool and I've made a few friends from other forums on there.

Neve bothered to play on any other servers aside from Victory. Like you all said it is full of nice friendly people sometimes I will be just talking to some people asking them questions on whatever and by the end they'lll give me inf and help me lvl a bit. On top of that I can always find a lvl 4 team to help me rid my debt.

Hopefully I'll be on with Encore tonight. The computer was acting flakey this morning when I was home, so I'm hoping I can get it ironed out quickly when I get home.

With all the problems I have on Justice, I am looking for a new server to start anew on. I'll have to check out Victory as Guardian and Infinity had some real strange folks when I was on them and I'm seeing good things here about Victory.

of course victory is great, thats where i live. But seroiusly its a great server with great people ( although if ronj plays there it cant be that great :)

My "home server" has always been Infinity, but with all my characters there and on Virtue and Freedom devoted to SG's, Victory is my "fun server"-- where I go to tinker around with different power sets I've never played before, or costume designs I think would look cool. Like Ron, my Victory characters are all quite low, none above 4, since they're "alts of alts", but that's where I go when I'm sick of politicking and want to just sit back and chill.

Having played on and off MMPORPGs for several years, including over 2 years on assorted EQ servers, I must say I find Victory one of the most pleasant servers I have ever played on. I thought this was more of the genre (super hero vs. fantasy), but after having branched out into other servers and seeing the commentary here -- it seems that Victory is, indeed, a rare gem.
And I just lucked out. I chose it for my main server because I like Invader Zim, and everytime I log in I can shout Victory for Brus! :)

Victory is my home, and it shall always be my home. Victory might have just as many problem as other servers, but there are great players on it. Look me up if you need anything.

Granted I am fairly biased since I began playing and have my 8 primary toons on Victory, but from my experience it does seem to be a rare pleasure in MMO's with the flame wars ending as soon as you leave AP.
I have a couple of toons on Infinity and the heroes there don't seem quite as friendly, which I find odd because the game is called 'City of HEROES'. I didn't realize it was heroic form to ignore team requests, curse randomly in broadcast and kick team members for no reason.
Victory is my home and it's where I plan to stay until CoV is released and I can go be 'Evil' in a game where that is expected of the characters. Any cool Victory peeps out there feel free to send me a tell @Dagorlian. Later all.

This is my home server, and I imagine it always will be. It has two, and soon three, of my heroes, and it's home to my SG, whom also shares the same love for Victory.
I do sometimes dislike the lag in areas like Talos Island, and I understand that turns off some people coming from other servers, like Triump... but I stomach it. Rarely do I or any of my peers, fall prey to kill stealing, smacktards, or llamas on the server - although I am not saying they are not there... it just doesn't seem to be an issue, and I like it that way. ^^;

Alachua, welcome to the wonderful world of Paragon City. And an extra warm welcome to GameAmp. The players base of City of Heroes is indeed one of best I have ever come across on any MMORPG I played. And it is not just on Victory. Create a toon on Triumph and meet many of the wonderful GameAmp players. They are the most helpful bunch you can find. Welcome to the site Alachua!
Victory is the server for my Solo Supergroup, that I created to learn about editting bases. If you ever need help just let me know, I have heroes on there from around level 7 - 43 (click on the link in my signature to see many of them).
Just ask for assistance on the Gameamp global channel and I will help if I can. Or any of the other servers for that matter. I have heroes all over.
Hope you enjoy the game...

very cool. thanks phedre and swiss. :) i will definitely check out triumph and the user guides. even from playing MMO's for a decent amount of time, there is a learning curve and i'm really excited that the players i've interacted with have been kind. i just got tired of playing WoW for so long and decided to try CoH out (much to the chagrin of my guildies, lol). i hope to be playing for a long time.
I'll have to get some screen shots up and put them on my profile too.

I bounce back and forth between CoH and WoW also, with CoH being my "primary" game. Definitely join the global channel. The Gameampers are always very helpful. Most of us are alt-o-holics, so we have characters of all level ranges. :) Generally if you need help with something or just need a team, ask on there and you're bound to get some good people.
