Can anyone tell me if an ice/storm troller is worth making, I want to be able to do offensive damage and hang on my own, and at the same time have holds etc..

Just started one myself for a little project group. Seems to me to be most "Control" oriented of all controller combos since you pick up a lot of area of effect slows etc. from the Storm side. Between the 2 you'll have a slew of ways to manage crowds, and the damage seems pretty good so far.

Just hit 17 with mine, not a damage dealing as my Grav/Rad 'troller but the holds and slows seem more effective. Could be I've got better as a player but I haven't been hitting the 'crete with the Ice/storm :)

you really wont get much in the way of offense with ice as a primary. stone or fire seems better for that in the long run. you wil have a lot of good crowd control powers though, and as a troller, thats what u really need.

I made a fun little Ice/Storm to run around with a while back, and I've gotta say, she's fun. But Ice and Sotrm aren't real damage hitters. The setup can be best described as slow/hold/immobolize/sleep/slow/disorient/damage, tons of status effects and not much on the damage side. Its filled with DoTs and not many solid damage punches. It works well in a team for assisting the team's performance, but on its own, it can't compare to some of the other options out there.
Big Chill is a conscranker: he conrols a mob so they do nothing, scraps a target till they can't stand, and tanks what's left till the job's done.
Dive in, have fun, and think about it later.
