I have a build for an Illusion Kinetics Troller. I'm at level 15 now. This is my first illusion troller that I've gotten this far. Suggestions?

RE: Illusion/Kinetics...build...

I don't know if that's the best slotting for that build

QUOTE
Blind -- Acc-I:50(A), Dmg-I:50(3), Dmg-I:50(3), Dmg-I:50(7), EndRdx-I:50(15)

Spectral Wounds and Fire Blast will take care of your damage, just use this to get the containment bonus. 2 Acc, 2 Holds should do the trick

QUOTE
Siphon Power -- Acc-I:50(A)

Where's the recharge? With 1-2 Acc and 2 Recharge you can have this stacked 2-3 times

QUOTE
Siphon Speed -- Acc-I:50(A), Acc-I:50(13), Slow-I:50(17), Slow-I:50(17)

Take out the slow and put in recharge. Again, that will let you stack this power giving you a big recharge boost

QUOTE
Spectral Terror -- Acc-I:50(A), Acc-I:50(27), Fear-I:50(27), Fear-I:50(29), RechRdx-I:50(29), RechRdx-I:50(31)

Spectral Terror's recharge is fine. They last 45 secs and the recharge is 45 seconds. If you summon another one while an old one is out the old just goes away. So don't worry about slotting for time

QUOTE
Transference -- Acc-I:50(A), Acc-I:50(36), EndMod-I:50(36), EndMod-I:50(36), EndMod-I:50(37), RechRdx-I:50(37)

With your Tactics, 1 Acc gives it 137% accuracy, which is plenty. Also, with 3 recharges it will recharge every 15 secs, so you might not need Consume

Well, thats my 2 cents on slotting. Hope that helps you at all

RE: Illusion/Kinetics...build...

I'd skip the defense buff in Superior Invisibility. You'll get a much better return in the long run by slotting an end redux in there, making for two.

You have an endurance heavy pair of sets. Superior Invis is very costly, and running Assault/Tactics is further taxing. On top of all that, Kinetics is a very fast, very end intense set. You get so much recharge speed going that you end up using powers faster than you can recover endurance for them. I'd advise waiting till after you have Transference to slot recharge into your powers. Let Siphon Speed do the recharging, and slot end redux instead so you can afford to use those powers.

Blind is an odd power, compared to other controller single target holds. Thats because its not just a single target hold. It has a chance to sleep every foe in a limited AoE around your target. Because of that, and the fact that it does more damage than most other ST holds, its recharge is longer than your average ST hold, and yet its hold duration is the same. This makes it harder to keep Holds stacked on tougher mobs, like bosses and elite bosses. The only cure for this is to slot a good amount of recharge and, more importantly, hold duration.

On the plus side, it is a very accurate power, though it has no accuracy bonus. Its accuracy lies in the fact that it has no positional value for defense purposes. If you've played /SR on a scrapper or stalker, you know how important position can be to defense. Having no positional value, and being purely Psi damage to boot, means that it will hit fairly often. You'll be the one holding Paragon Protectors after they've jumped into MoG/Elude powers. My slotting advice given all of this information, is to slot 1 accuracy, 2-3 hold duration, and 1-2 recharge. Slot the recharge last, as you'll get a better return earlier for slotting hold duration. Plus you have siphon speed doing all the +recharge for you for a long time.

I'd slot Deceive a little better. Most people don't know this, but it is very possible to perma confuse an AV, even through purple triangles of doom. People chide confuse powers because damage done by a confused enemy counts against you. But a confused foe does not fight back! Against a single, tougher target (EB/AV and such) the ability to confuse them when holds would normally fail is paramount! I can't wait to do Faultline with my Ill/Rad. Confusing all those AVs and making them helpless to defend themselves is gonna be fun. =D

Not only that, but confuses are a great way of mitigating damage. I use Deceive on Embalmed Cadavers/Abominations to turn their explosive tendencies against their friends. Saved many a life that way. I use it on Ruin Mages, making them use earthquake on their friends and turning that annoying dispersion bubble of theirs to our benefit. I've used it on Madness Mages and wound up with Fortitude being cast by them on me and my teammates. There are any number of circumstances when having a single foe Confused can save you and your team a lot of stress and/or downtime. Slot it up and love it! Advice: If you plan on slotting it up, get an end redux in it asap! Its a great, safe tool, and because of that, its an endurance hog!

One last note on Transference. One acc is more than enough for it to hit, especially with Tactics. 1 acc/2-3 end mod/1-2 recharge should leave you good to go. =D

Long winded, eh? And I didn't even post a build!

W.P.
