I've been struck wit a bit of altitis recently, my Kin/Elec Defender getting all up into melee range with Fulcrum shift has made me want to play around with my low level fire/stone tanker I made a while ago. I've got him up to Lvl 11 with the powers listed below and I'm trying to think a ahead a little.
Basically I came up with a concept of an evil artifact confiscated from the Circle of Thorns being put to good use by an amateur hero and this seemed to be better than stone/fire thematically. I wanted to make a more classic tanker, mostly to hold aggro with a few good powers to deal some damage while soaking up the hurt.
I was looking around here and on the CoH forums and couldn't find much info on this power combination and was wondering how this looks and if anybody has any comments or suggestions.

Build looks good. One thing you want to do is drop weave. As a primarily resistance tanker, that little extra defense may or may not be noticable, but I'm sure you could put the slot to better use. Other than that, I think you'll be fine... actually you'll be fine either way, just a suggestion.
Edit: Sorry, I'm not too proficient with stone melee, but if it has build up you may want to add that in there to expand your dmg potential. I didn't see that in your build.

Thanks for the input. I didn't even think to look at the type of defense fiery aura was, resistence vs. defense. Build-up and Fault were two of the powers I was interested in and wasn't sure if I could make room for.
I'm not too familiar with stone melee either, or much outside ranged archetypes. Build-up will help make sure the few attacks he does have will hit more often than not.

Yeah, what little I do know about stone melee is it is high burst damage and high endurance cost, so an extra toggle (weave) will just further the endurance drain while adding build up to a high burst damage set will vastly increase initial dps. So your first few attacks that already really hurt, are now going to REALLY hurt.

You need to be aware that the Endurance cost is going to be a killer. Stone Melee is very heavy on End and while running your defence toggles your going to be drained a lot. Blazing Aura will kill your Endurance at early levels.
Do you plan on soloing with this toon or are you looking to team more? This will determine when you take which powers.

Oh yeah, you're right about the endurance. Heavy Mallet hits hard, both against the enemey and in my endurance. Without any damage enhancements it takes out over half an even level minions HP. I'm glad I'm almost lvl 12 so I can get me some relief with IO end enhancements.

I mostly team with this toon, and I have found it to be very end heavy like you said. Consume has helped and liberal amounts of blues have really helped. What would you suggest?
