Okay now I know we all have heard at some time in broadcast about someone complaining about the use of a power chosen from either one of the many power pools or even epic power pools and I must ask "Why?"
So what if some scrapper has phase shift or a stalker decides to choose stealth for his build I have to admire their thinking.
As this game evolves more and more thanks to special IOs the game play has also done the same thing, and with Villain side (and I will always maintain this is a more advanced version of the game) we all have to think smart when it comes to facing real thinking foes.
Stealth may up the hiding ability of a stalker but how many tanks/scrappers have the opportunity to get more than one level of perception? And now theres an IO to increase both stealth and perception. (It was fun to watch 3 stalkers chasing my tank in RV)
As far as I know both heroes and villains have access to all power pools so there really is nothing stopping you from setting aside choices from the stealth pool to get phase shift or picking hibernation if you feel you need it.
People who rather complain they fight foes with it either havent thought about it themselves of dont know what to do about it.
Playing my MM i first encountered a blaster with Hibernate when we fought and rather than whine he has it I chose to do what any evil villain would do... i planted traps all around him while he rested and healed, after all hibernate (and phase shift) has a 30 second untouchable period.
Adapt people, so what if my MM decides to tp your flying hero down to the ground where my traps wait, how many times have you seen someone tp a MM away from their minions? Works both ways.
Only thing I dont condone is droning, tping a foe into a police/arbitor drone just because you can't beat them just plain sucks and truthfully if you need to do this then you should go back to Atlas Park or Mercy Island the one shot Hellions for a living.
Apart from that enjoy the fun and carnage and use your smarts to outsmart your fellow PvPers.

I've heard those gripes all too often myself, especially in the early days of CoV. Everyone was still getting used to the whole PvP element of the game, and there were a lot of strategies being invented for exploring the new zones.
My MM was a victim of tp foe on many occasions, usually by a cursed controller. I hadn't thought of the use of it with the traps element, but then I generally stay away from the PvP zones anymore. I do like the idea even for it's use in PvE.
Remember one thing though, Jaffah. In a constantly evolving game like this, there will always be those that gripe, whine and cry about falling prey to some new trick or strategy they didn't think of before. Yeah, it would be great if they would just shut it, but we all know they won't. Part of adapting will be just learning to ignore the whiners.

The only real gripe I've ever had about someone's build in recent months was:
I was on a team, as a level 28ish tank. I was roughly 2-3 levels lower than the rest of the team. There was a tank on the team that was somewhere around 30-31. He only had 3 powers from his primary set and just a few from the secondary set (fire/fire). However, he had chosen 4 power pools.
Speed: Flurry, Superspeed
Teleport: Recall Friend, Teleport
Flight: Hover, Fly
Leaping: Jump Kick, Superjump
Yes. Every travel power.
He was...ineffective...at best. I was tanking most of the baddies even though he was several levels higher than me.

LMFAO that rocks I'd so do something like that. In fact I think I'm re-making my 50 fire/ice tank and taking attacks and every travel power...with some defense thrown in and going to see how hard I get pwned (that's after I re-up the account).

Yep, had my experiences with those before. No mez protection, little in the way resistance and armor but all the powers that makes him look great when he's mot sleeping held or eating the floor.
Kinda weird seeing the tank type "zzz" in a 30+ group.
