Ok, you have open the post you can not leave till you finish reading it.
First of this is for a brute with the same powers, but i got very little help on the villain side.
Anyway, i was wondering what build or power sets i could use to make him more ubber. he just has not been feeling all that tough being stone and all.

Sorry to hear my SS advice was not all you wanted. Not sure what more you can say about the set. Maybe you could have asked me for more details or further explainations. I can tell you how I have slotted my level 50 SS tanker, but it is about the same as my brute.

No it wasnt that. the SS help was very help full. I mainly need the stone help. i just think it makes more sense to ask for help with the primary and secondary included.

Resistance Based sets are usually a bit better on the Brute side of things. The damage mitigation is more reliable.
That being said, Super Strength is a great set for pure damage. It's one of the higher rated sets (if not the highest) with Rage.
So, resistance based set, like Willpower, Fire or Invulnerability (Is invuln available for brutes?). Fire will give you better DPS, Willpower is probably the higher survivability, but Invuln has more "blanket" resistances. The plus about Willpower however is the boost to max hitpoints. Brutes have the highest potential HP in the game (their HP are lower than tanks, but the "cap" is higher). So using sets and High Pain Tolerance, you can get close to it.
My bottom line: if you like Super Strength, stick with it. If you're frustrated with Stone, try out Willpower, Fire or Invulnerability. I really enjoy the Willpower set on my tanker. She's 37 now.

Brute base HP is lower than that of a scrapper. Their base defenses (be it resistance or defense based) are scrapper values. Their caps are tanker caps. This includes HP caps. Brutes and Tankers can both cap their HP at about 3600 HP. There is no other AT that can reach this cap, and this in fact is the literal HP cap of the game. Scrappers come in second with an HP cap around 2400. The rest of the ATs cap around 1600 HP. Though Stalkers may have a higher HP cap than that, perhaps 1800, not sure, as I've never checked personally. I believe that only Regen stalkers could even come close to the HP cap, as IIRC they are the only secondary with Dull Pain.
Anyway, Brutes have Tanker caps on their resistances and HP. Defense always caps at 95%, for every AT in the game.

Are you sure about the HP thing? I remember seeing something on the main boards about Brutes having a higher HP Cap than tankers, but I certainly can't quote it.
At any rate, High Pain Tolerance rocks.
Oh, and Regen scrappers have Dull Pain as well.
