I got the power Fire Breath for my Fire/fire blaster, (Cinnamon-Frost, so I was wondering if it was worth getting it, or if it is a passable. ^^"

Fire Breath is an AMAZING power! It does crazy good damage, has great range, and it's a cone. It's recharge and end cost aren't that bad too so you can use it on bosses and lits without worrying. So yeah, get it and I guarentee you'll love it

Fire is all about the AoE damage.

Fire breath ain't AoE, its a cone, but still.
Its an amazing power, that should be utalized to its full potential. Just remember that its a DoT, so you'll see it taking affect a second after you use it, I thought it was doing tnothing before I found out it was a DoT.

Um...a cone IS an AoE. In fact, it's a PBAoE. It's just not a 360 degree PBAoE.
AoE = Area of Effect.

Fire Breath is an outstanding power. I would suggest slotting 1 acc, 3 dam, 1 range. You could use the 6th slot for rech or end redux.
It is a cone with AoE effects. To properly maximaze its damage potential, target a bad guy in the back of a mob, this way it hits the guy in back and everyone in front of him as well.

Inferno is the only aoe power in that set thats better.
Really you can't call your self a aoe blaster if you don't have fire breath! (well you can but it would not be true.)

Here's a tip for using Fire Breath:
I always found it a great "Lead in" attack for my Fire Blaster's attack routine.
Target the mob farthest back in the pack, click it and move forward till it activates. This will give you the largest number of mobs possible hit. (This is also why Fire Blasters are aggro hogs from hell!)
I generally followed that up with a nice fat Fire Ball AoE and the center of the mob would just drop dead anyhow.
As you enhance the range on this power, the far end of the cone also widens. Allowing you to hit more mobs in general on a good belch!

Wow, I didn't even know you could enhance the range on that bad-boy. I'll have to work it up some on my AoE Dragon toon. It's going to be a crazy aggro magnet, I just hope it'll be able to kill everything fast enough, even in a team.

Slot the whole Positron's Blast set in it and live happily. :) Not only will you get the nice range, damage and accuracy, you'll get a nice Chance for Energy damage added to it!

This could be some serious hotness (pun intended) for my fire/ice blaster. I've never been big on fire blasters, just because I've never liked the raw destructive nature of the fire element (much more a fan of the finesse that lightning has). But for a big angry half-breed dragon dude, this could have some goodness to it. Thanks.

i realize this is kinda off topic but this post just gave me a thought about i12. is fire blast being given to defenders by any chance? i doubt anyone knows for certain yet, but if someone does, that would be great

As yet, I've not heard anything of the sets being given to defenders. So far, here's what I know
Blasters Psi/???
Controllers Plant/???
Brutes Battle Axe and Mace/???
But that's all from Positron's article. Beyond that, I've no idea.

Love the power for its damage, and its awesome animation!
What i dont love would be the long cast time which roots you, meaning villains can easily close you down. Also the animation for this looks kinda silly if you get knocked back/down, but life is all good really
