I have an Inv/EM Tanker, and I noticed and do add Taunt Enhancements to my melee powers(Energy Punch, Bone Smasher, etc, etc). However, if you read the Game Info - CoH Powers(on the left) it shows the enhancements allowed on each powers in each primary and secondary power pools. Taunt isn't on the list for use on melee attacks. It says it's only usable on the "Taunt" power itself. From experience I know they can be added to the attack powers. So my question, Are taunt enhancements usable on other melee powers in the other secondary power pools(I.E. Dual Blades, Ice Melee, etc, etc.)?
I ask because I will be restarting my level 12 Tanker to add some primary powers instead of respeccing. I want to be sure I can use taunt enhs on attacks if I decide to go a differnet route then EM for my secondary.
P.S. Any suggestions on a good secondary pool or is EM the best compliment to Inv? Looking for opinions.

Yes, all tanker and brute attack sets allow for taunts to be placed in them to lengthen the duration of the taunt.
I personally save the slot for something more practical IMO, such as acc, dmg or end reduction. Then use Taunt for all my aggro grabbing.

Yes they are placeable. The best thing to do is look at the enhancement management screen and mouse over the power name to see what they will take. If you plan to be an aggro Tank, having Taunt loaded in your AoE or PBAoE powers that can take them is well worth it. In the Invulnerable set Invincibility can take taunt, as can Mud Pots in Stone Armor. Each set will have at least one in the armor set. In the melee sets there are always opportunities to make yourself more annoying and sticky, just check each one out.
Perfect Zinger 3 slotted in taunt itself has a nice 3 teir bonus as well. Good Luck.

PS ( you will not be able to change you secondary from EM in a respec, that will require starting a new toon. You can, of course, choose different powers within each set and reslot them, this often helps. )

Perfect Zinger is a real nice taunt set, just like Mr Marine said. I just picked it up myself the other day.
I'd really only slot taunt enhancements in Taunt and your aggro aura, Invincibility. You may or may not know, but a tankers inherent power, Gauntlet, helps you generate aggro natually thru your attacks. Basically, if you attack something, the 4 or 5 other villains around the one taking damage will attack you too.

I'm partial to Super Strength as a tanker secondary. Develops with its big hit sooner, and Rage keeps you hitting and hitting hard. EM is a fun set though, once you get into the late game it can really put out damage.
Was teaming with Bold's scrapper yesterday and it was clear that I hit harder, but he hit faster. We were on par with each other for DPS, which was really nice.

Just keep in mind that the devs have over the last few months made it so that the perfect zinger: chance for psionic damage will not place in taunt auras anymore like invincability. If you had a char with it in before the nerf then it should still work with the aura. However if you respec the char, the IO will not work with it.

I didnt know you could even put it in an aura. I'm putting it in one of my AoE attacks. Might as well get the most bang for my buck.
