So does every one have boring desk jobs like me where they can sit and check forum posts all day? It kind of seems that way...
This isn't the way I pictured my career in the Marines, I got to get back to the fleet....

I moved this Thread to the Off Topic Section.
As far as a boring job, no.
I have a high stress, wish I was home, gonna bang my head on the wall all day, rather be set on fire than come back tomorrow, can't believe I'm here, what was I thinking, gonna go bonkers, gotta get out of here job.
I'm pretty sure the people I work with were born with their clothes on because I don't think they are smart enough to get dressed on their own...
*Whew* I feel better....
*Looks around and realizes I'm still at work*
Sigh

Will it be sad, if with the new issue your day job in game turns out to be what you do outside the game?
Now bid me run,
And I will strive with things impossible,
Yea, get the better of them.

Yeah that's my job to. But I try to stay at my desk and find things to keep me busy and away from dumb people. However if my task list gets low, it's either this site or Fantasy Football.

I don't have a job, but I need one.... art supplies don't last as long as the textbooks like people need at other colleges, but are just as expensive, it seems.

It really depends on what you call 'boring.' Some people get quite an adrenaline rush from their desk jobs.
For me, the boring part of the job happens miles from my desk. I hate court days. I thought testifying against Dale Housner would be more interesting, but he turned out to have the most boring and objectionable lawyer West of the Pecos.
My 'desk' is in a lab, where I get to cut bits off of police evidence and destroy them with acid, read government records that most people aren't even supposed to know about, argue with FBI agents and get away with it, and read other people's mail.
I can't post from the police station, though. Mesa takes a very dim view of people using city computers for personal use. I post from the coffee house during my lunch break, or if I'm lucky, the WiFi in the Tempe Justice Court. Other than that, it has to wait until after work.
Back when I used to post all day, I had exactly the kind of boring desk job you are asking about. I worked in a library while I was earning my MS.

Your my hero, Gil Grissom. And before you post it, I know it's not really the way they make it on CSI. But just don't burst my bubble to hard!

I have a job where I sit at a computer at a desk. But I'm not sure I have a "desk job". I write code for a living.
