I do not know how it is on other servers, but on Champion during an invasion on Talos, and because of the "main" congregation site of the invaders being so close to Wentworths, (and Wentworths being a whole different lag issue) I have actually had problems connecting to the server if I DC'd near the train station on Talos. So go far from Wents, the train station or central Talos if you want to log back in later on the Island.
