I know that Thatoneguy has made a guide to ill/kin recently but this is MY guide. I’m gonna try to go level by level, and of course feel free to flame, I don’t care.
Lvl1: Between blind and spectral wounds I picked blind because spectral wound’s damage is healed eventually, that is the only reason. That and blind can BLIND your opponent rendering them unable to fight, and why do damage yourself as a controller? You get pets to do it for you. You CAN take spectral wounds at lvl 1 and respec it out later, or keep it. This power really doesn’t matter much, not like the others.
Lvl2: Siphon power. Siphon power is great. It was close between this and deceive but with deceive hitting one enemy and siphon buffing the team about 12-15% per hit I chose siphon. Besides, You can get deceive at 4
Lvl3: Two slots, not much but they can make a difference when you get SOs (single origins). Put one in transfusion and one in siphon power
Lvl4: Deceive. A power I love, and at lvl 4! When you fire off deceive (and hit) an enemy fights for you and foes don’t hit him. This sounds great now but think of this. Has anyone here reading this ever fought he sky raiders? If so then you all know of the shield generators that they have giving bubbles. The generator does not give bubbles to sky raiders, it gives bubbles to allies. If you do fight an enemy that gives buffs or debuffs only (or at all) try to hit them with deceive first and let them (if they have it) debuff for a second or two before running in
Lvl5: Another two slots. One in transfusion and one in deceive
Lvl6: alright, another power. Between flash or power pools, I got hurdle to start the power pools
Lvl7: Another two slots. One in siphon power and one in deceive
Lvl8: I got superior invisibility because at this level you will probably be primarily in the hollows and not being seen will be a bigggggggggg help. But a word of warning, don’t use in battle unless running. It has a very high endurance cost.
Lvl9: Two slots. One in transfusion and one in superior invis.
Lvl10: This should be obvious. Siphon speed. Some help on using. Aim for the lowest enemy in the group. I have missed grays with this
Lvl11: Two slots, both in siphon speed
Lvl 12: Hasten. No explanation needed.
Lvl 13: Two slots on hasten
Lvl 14: super speed: You don’t need it but in high level zones you cant hit them with siphon speed and they argo on you and you die
Lvl 15: both slots on siphon speed
Lvl 16: health
Lvl 17: one on siphon speed and one on your choice, mine was transfusion
Lvl 18: Phantom Army. This is the beginning of the solo career you might be looking for, or the best teamer in existence. Either way you must take this
Lvl 19: both on PA
Lvl 20: stamina. With powers recharging faster with siphon speed and hasten, you’ll need the end
Lvl 21: one on stamina and one on PA
Lvl 22: this power could be switched out with stamina at 20 just make your preference. Speed boost
Lvl 23: one on Speed boost and one on PA
Lvl 24: group invis. With three SO recharges on it, it has a one second to one and a half downtime.
Lvl 25: one on PA and one on group invis. At this lvl you should also respec out superior invis for whatever you want, I got aid other
Lvl 26: the terror. This pet has a good recharge and holds most enemies. Those that aren’t held but not running have resisted it’s effect. Most that it hits are held by fear
Lvl 27: one on group invis and one in the terror
Lvl 28: Inertial reduction. With this you can give yourself super jump and those around you.
Lvl 29: one on speed boost and one on stamina
Lvl 30: this is another “free” power where the best powers are not yet available. For this I chose increase density but aid self was a close second just for less downtime
Lvl 31: if you got aid self then put both slots into it, otherwise two into aid other and one into the terror
Lvl 32: This is the holy level for all controllers. For you somewhat less in that you have already had a taste of what is now offered, but just as special. The power choice for 32 is phantasm
Lvl 33: all on phantasm
Lvl 34: two on phantasm and one on the terror
Lvl 35: transference. Use it like transfusion
Lvl 36 all into transference
Lvl 37: two onto transference and one on the terror
Lvl 38: the next “super” power (no pun intended), Fulcrum Shift. This power radiates around you and the mobs. My suggestion is to group invis the team and have them all stand in the middle of the group. Have the tank taunt so he will hold your argo then fire this off.
Lvl 39: all on Fulcrum Shift
Lvl 40: one on the terror and two on increase density or if you got aid self you undoubtedly 3 slotted it so put two into aid other.
This is where I end because there are regular power pools I would use as well as the epics. Use what comes.
