This guide will show you how to make a successful Martial Arts/Super Reflexes scrapper. And this also will show you how to run missions set on invincible! And barely dying.. This guide will go over enhancements, martial arts, super reflexes. And how much inspirations you should use.

I will give it stars, on how good it is, to how bad it is.
* - Don’t get it/Useless.
** - Avoid.
*** - Good.
**** - It is useful Get it.
***** - Absolutely get it!
How to use inspirations

At level 1, inspirations really aren’t useful, but in the higher levels, it is very necessary to use it when in need. Inspirations drop from anyone, so keep a space or two for needed drops. When level 50 you have a total 4 rows of inspiration columns. Since your secondary is super reflexes, and have a lot of toggles, get a total 2 rows of Catch a Breath. This gives you 25% of your endurance back to you, so keep them by your side. Super Reflexes has no healing power, thus making you non-healable, so keep a row of 2 of Respite. Respite gives you 25% of you HP to you. This will be VERY useful to you when you are out of endurance, or about to die.

Note: When you run out, just buy some at your nearest contact. Its only 50 influence.
Note (2): keep 2 slots available for awaken and a Break free. In case if you lose to a battle.

Looking through Martial Arts

Thunder Kick
Type: Click
Attacks: Melee, Smashing
Overall Rating: ***
Damage: Moderate
Affect: disorient
Available: Level 1
Why: This Power is good, and it has a quick recharge time, I suggest this will be your First power.

Storm Kick
Type: Click
Attacks: Melee, Smashing
Overall Rating: ****
Damage: Moderate
Affect: None
Available: Level 1
Why: This Power is one of your most used martial art power, this does decent damage, and the recharge time is awesome! Highly advice to get.

Cobra Strike
Type: Click
Attacks: melee, Smashing
Overall rating: *
Damage: Minor
Affect: Stun, Disorient
Available: level 2
Why: I don’t really like this power, it only stuns them for seconds, not very good, don’t get this power unless you want to slap someone

Focus Chi
Type: Click
Attacks: none
Overall Rating: *****
Damage: none
Affect: Damage+ Accuracy+
Available: level 6
Why: This power is the bomb! Does great plus damage, and if you combine them with Storm kick and Thunder kick, minions will easily drop dead

Crane Kick
Type: Click
Attacks: Melee, Smashing
Overall Rating: *****
Damage: High
Affect: Knock Back
Available: level 8
Why: This will be a killer power if combined with Focus Chi. Do not skip this power, it was meant to be picked at level 8!

Warriors Challenge
Type: Click
Attacks: none
Overall Rating: **
Damage: none
Affect: Taunt
Available: level 12
Why: My opinion is not to get this power unless you team a lot with lowbies. And they tend to die a lot.

Crippling Axe Kick
Type: Click
Attacks: Melee, Smashing
Overall rating: ****
Damage: Moderate
Affect: Slows attack rate
Available: level 18
Why: Good power, but I advice to skip it till your mid 20’s.

Dragon’s Tail
Type: Click
Attacks: melee, smashing
Overall Rating: ****
Damage: Moderate
Affect: Knockdown
Available: level 26
Why: Good when teaming, but if you’re a soloist like me, I wouldn’t take it.

EAGLE’S CLAW
Type: Click
Attacks: melee, smashing
Overall rating: **************
Affect: None
Damage: Superior
Available: Level 32
Why: Ill be dumb to skip this power, this will be your best attack, long animation, but worth seeing.

Looking through Super Reflexes

Focused Fighting
Type: Toggle
Attacks: None
Overall rating: Don’t matter
Damage: None
Affect: Defense+ to melee attacks
Available: 1
Why: This is a good power, its good, but it needs work on endurance

Focused Senses
Type: Toggle
Attacks: none
Overall rating: ****
Damage: none
Affect: Defense+ to range attacks
Available: level 2
Why: You should get this power at level 4, very good defense.

Agile
Type: Auto
Attacks: None
Overall rating: ***
Damage: None
Affect: Defense+ to range attacks
Available: level 4
Why: This power would be great at higher levels, but not for your low level days.

Practiced Brawler
Type: Click
Attacks: None
Overall Rating: *****
Affect: resistance to Sleep/Hold/Knock-backs
Available: Level 10
Why: This power is your main resistance power, get it at level 10. (ADVISED)

Dodge
Type: Auto
Attacks: None
Overall rating: ***
Affect: Defense+ to Melee attacks
Available: level 16
Why: This power is great, advice getting, most of the enemy groups have melee powers, so you will not get hit easily

Quickness
Type: auto
Attacks: None
Overall rating: ****
Affect: Boost speed, boost recharge time
Available: level 20
Why: This would be great for everything, especially for practices brawler

Lucky
Type: Auto
Attacks: none
Overall rating: ***
Affect: defense+ to Area attacks
Available: 28
Why: It’s not a bad power, but most of the enemy groups you tend to fight don’t have Area attacks, so skip it.

Evasion
Type: Toggle
Attacks: None
Overall rating: ****
Affect: Defense+ Area of Effect
Available: level 35
Why: advice getting, very handy power for the higher ranked enemy groups.

Elude
Type: Click
Attacks: None
Overall rating: *******
Affect: increase mostly everything and defense increased a lot
Why: get this power, or else I will hunt you down, this power is your main defense power!!

Nice guide Ice :-) I think you did a great job!

  Aurrius on 08/24/07 11:56

Looks good. Glad to be your inspiration.

Anyway:

- Perhaps double-check your spelling and grammar next time? I spotted some minor mistakes. No problem really, but some people are likely to get annoyed.
- Ratings are from 1 to 5. Why are some rated way beyond 5?
- Practiced Brawler isn't a resistance power. It's a mez-protection power.
- Personally I'd prefer to see some more data (recharge, endurance cost et cetera).
- Maybe a brief deion of the powers?

Other than that, looks good!

  Aurrius on 08/24/07 12:06

Since I can't edit my previous post, I'll post a new one:

I only just saw this: The slotting... Oh. My. God.

QUOTE
Level 6: Focused Chi < Recharge (5) To hit buff (2)

One word. Enhancement Diversification. ED. Slotting more than 3 enhancements of one kind in the same power is utterly useless. The bonus is minimal (a few percent). The fourth and fifth slots are useless.
QUOTE
Level 10: Practices Brawler < Recharge (5)

2xRecharge Reduction is enough. See my comment on Focus Chi.
QUOTE
Level 12: Hasten < Recharge (5)

See my comment on Focus Chi.
QUOTE
Level 14: super Speed < running speed (3) Endurance (3)

You're already at the running speed cap with only 2xRunSpeed. Slotting for Endurance is useless as well, since you probably don't use it in combat. I wouldn't.
QUOTE
Level 16: Swift < Running speed (4)

Placing extra slots on this power is utterly useless. Enhancement Diversification! More than three = useless!
QUOTE
Level 18: Health < Heal (4)

Enhancement Diversification! More than three = useless!

Level 20: Stamina < Endurance modification (6)

Enhancement Diversification! More than three = useless!

Level 22: Aid Other < Heal (4)

QUOTE
Level 24 Aid self < heal (6)

QUOTE
Level 26: Dragon’s Tail

No slotting? Odd.
QUOTE
Level 28: Quickness < running speed (4)

QUOTE

Enhancement Diversification! More than three = useless!
QUOTE
Level 32: Eagles Claw < Damage (3) accuracy (2)

Where's the recharge?
QUOTE
Level 38: Elude < recharge (4) Defense Buff (2)

Enhancement Diversification! More than three = useless!

Level 41: Conserve Power < recharge (3) Endurance modification (3)

Such a shame you can't slot this power for Endurance Modification in-game. Unless they changed it, which I doubt.
QUOTE
Level 44: Focused Accuracy < Endurance (6)

Enhancement Diversification! More than three = useless!

Since you didn't touch on power pools, I'll add a couple comments.
First off, fly is a great pool to get into with MA as air superiority will mesh nicely (no draw animation after each use, yay)... this removes the necessity to take a useless power such as combat jumping (seeing as how you already have so much defense). Also, I made the mistake of adding hasten to my build early on. MA/SR does not have the spare endurance for this until you can SO slot (or even better, IO now) endurance redux. Fitness... yes, and absolute must no matter what with this build, unless you like waiting 5 min. between each group of baddies. I personally recommend aid other or stim, just for aid self, because as Ice said, SR = no heals.

  robot mind on 12/13/07 16:15

ahhh....you put Storm Kick down for both lvl 1 and 2??!

  Midnight-Ice on 12/18/07 14:41

Nope XD
