Well, the first of two patches to hit before I7 lands in training. The one now currently on the test server that i am providing a synopsis for involves some combined notes about that nasty Vengeance exploit not being stackable any longer. It states that only one Vengeance buff can be used at a time, so heroes or villains can no longer obtain God mode while in PvP. The Hurricane power can no longer be used to “pin” people against walls or corners in PvP, but will still interrupt stalkers unless they are protected for repel. In PvP, the taunt has changed so that if a character runs far away or stays out of LOS, it will effectively expire sooner. There will also be a handy “Help” tab, which will default you to a server wide channel. Experienced player’s are strongly urged to share their wisdom there.
CoH specific changes came in the form of zone and badge. In the Shadow Shard, the Kora Fruit was changed to give a medium inspiration instead of a large. Also, the Mu Guardians now award a badge. In CoV, many changes took place. Long Bow Wardens with the Gravity Distortion power were doing to much damage to villains, so they were nerfed to do less. Along with that, the Longbow Boss, Romulus has had his resistance lowered to make him easier to defeat. Also, there was an installation problem with Windows 98/ME that was making a error message appear stating that 1064x768 was not supportable in full screen mode and that the resolution was being switched to 800x600. 1064x768 was, and is, supported.
