Yes all this festivity can only mean one thing, Christmas time in Paragon City (and I suppose Rogue Isles but they are naughty and Santa doesn’t visit them).
For the past few week or so players (and amperes) have been all abuzz about the Winter Event that went on Test just a few days after I8 went live. And we just received news that starting December 14th the event will be live for all to enjoy. The event will last till January 2nd 2007. Unlike past years in Paragon City, this event is mostly isolated to the Pocket D zone but in the 2nd phase of the Winter Event the Rogue Isles and Paragon City will start to feel merrier.
Phase 1 of Winter Event 2006 has many cool (pun intended) features for heroes and villains. Like stated above Pocket D has some major goodies waiting for you when you enter. One of the biggest features is the ski slopes and ski chalet. By far the best option with the event, myself spent many times going down the slopes trying to navigate the ski gates. As par for the course there is a plethora of badges, cool costume items, temporary powers, and fun to be had with the Winter Event. As far as I could find there was only one mission to do but there could be more. That one mission though is repeatable so that you can earn all the badges and costume items!
