Dateline, Atlas Park: Multiple sources confirmed today to this news source that a large disturbance has been detected at the edge of our solar system. While officially the city refuses to comment on the situation, this station has discovered the reason for the disturbance:
RIKTI INVASION!!!!
Officially released today on both the European boards and the US boards, information was released on the status of the invasion progress, including the status of the recon units restoring the Rikti Crash Site to some former glory. Although no time table is set, it is expected that within several months, the section of the city will be completely taken over and converted to a all out WAR ZONE. Vanguard has been charged with defending the city from the Rikti, and as such they have begun to ask all heroes to prepare. Predictions indicate that not only will the Crash Site be transformed into a War Zone, but the main part of the invasion will land all over the city. As such, all heroes should prepare to fight Rikti wherever they appear, including the one and only Atlas Park!
The Invasion fleet is so large, experts say, that there won't be enough heroes to deal with the situation. As such, an official envoy has been dispatched by Statesman to Lord Recluse of the Rogue Isles, asking for assistance, which would be provided by the villains of the Rogue Isles. Off camera, some government officials have stated that visas will be issued to villains, granting them access to some parts of the city, though mainly to be confined in the War Zone to assist with the invasion. As such, heroes should be expected to encounter, work with, and if the situation calls for it, team with them to deal with the encounter.
Long range sensors have also detected that there are new mid-level capital ships in the fleet, and that, from stolen communications, their main goal is to rebuild the crashed rikti ship. As such, one of the targets for heroes and villains alike is to take down these ships around the downed ship, and prevent them from securing it. There are even rumors that Vanguard will allow heroes to enter said downed ship if the area is secure enough.
Due to the size of the fleet, additional sources indicate that lower level heroes will be allowed into the zone, starting at security level 35. New information dealers will be in the zone, allowing more missions for heroes and villains from level 35 up.
Finally, our scout recon troops have revealed that there is something more than what meets the eye to this invasion. In response, heroes and villains who are at least security level 45 will be asked by Vanguard leader Lady Grey to investigate. 6 members are at least required for safetey's sake.
